We would not have the delta variant if the astra zeneca vaccine had not forced COVID-19 to mutate into a weaker variant. Hospitalizations from vaccines would not be able to outnumber hospitalizations from COVID if mRNA vaccinations had not caused a drastic drop in hospitalizations from COVID.
