Be careful with the guide rod on the 9mm EZ. A misalignment can jam the slide closed. I worked out how to unjam it. Correct placement of the chamber end of the guide rod is critical. Aside from that caution, it’s a good pistol.

“Why don’t Glocks have safety switches?”

Is that a trick question, or do you really not know anything about the Glock?

I'll never own another 1911. It's an obsolete design in its original form that costs a fortune to make reliable. I have a Hi-power which corrects the flaws of the 1911. It has the feed ramp integral to the barrel and a spring extractor.

Glocks are excellent weapons if you do not mind a trigger that feels like the rubber band breaking on a cheap toy. Springfield XDs have a proper trigger break.

I do not think pistol in that list costs less than a Glock other than the Canick. I know a Walther PPQ costs more than a Glock.

If I did not have arthritis, I'd have the 10mm XD. A full power 10mm solves the great "9mm vs .45" (vs .40 Short & Weak) debate.

“Q: “Why don’t Glocks have safety switches?”

A: Because rappers think a safety makes them look gay.”

B: Because those kids that never learned what a manual safety is for think that hole in their leg makes them look tough and not stupid and careless.

“They used to be. Kimber has huge QC problems these days.”

I have never had a Kimber 1911 shoot reliably. Always a jam-o-matic. Even after having been sent back for repairs. Sad, because I liked them, but I no longer carry them. I found far more reliable pistols to carry.

“They have a trigger safety.”

Because nothing will ever get into the trigger area and fire the weapon. Can’t and never happens, right? *snicker*

A cop was saved because a perp that got his weapon from him could not work the manual safety. I also know a manual safety can get you killed if yo do not develop the muscle memory to release it under stress.

John Browning put the grip safety on the 1911 with the intent on it being carried that way.

Sigs have no manual safety because the decocker springs back into ready mode. The Beretta 92G is a version like that for those not wanting a manual safety.

“OK, what’s your favorite “non-Glock” handgun?”

Browning Hi-Power.

..has designed AR-style firearms that feed from Glock magazines.

So it's a Glock and an 'assault rifle'. (Liberals peeing their panties.)

Where’s Ruger?

Why would Jesus need any firearm? 😎

Got my first Glock, a Gen 5, two weeks ago. Alternatives to consider are the Ruger Security 9mm and Springfield Hellcat.

Because if you know how to use a pistol, you don’t need’em on a Glock;)

Bingo. I have three Security 9’s and 18 mags. When they say pass the ammo and mags, me -n- the boys will still be firing.

Hey Top, I have the Glock-19 Gen 4, like the option of putting a crimson-trace green laser on the bottom rail.

for EDC.

Sorry but I don't read Acronym......Does EDC stand for Endemic Dichondrial Colonoscopy and if so, how does that apply to this conversation?

2 days ago I purchased a CZ Scorpion EVO.
It’s classified as a pistol but it’s quite large. Hell yeah I’m going to still try to conceal that baby. LOL

Very fun to shoot. Has a lot of perks like ambidextrous safety and mag drop. The charging rod can be changed to either side. 4 weaver rails, threaded barrel, 10, 20, 30, 50, round mags and drums.

You can add an after market stock, or arm stabilizer.

Did I mention is very fun to shoot? The Czech military use this weapon but they have a switch to go into sub-machine gun mode.

The SA XD in .40cal shoots much cleaner than my Glock 19 in 9mm. Much less kick for double taps on target.
