“Why don’t Glocks have safety switches?”

Is that a trick question, or do you really not know anything about the Glock?

A cop was saved because a perp that got his weapon from him could not work the manual safety. I also know a manual safety can get you killed if yo do not develop the muscle memory to release it under stress.

John Browning put the grip safety on the 1911 with the intent on it being carried that way.

Sigs have no manual safety because the decocker springs back into ready mode. The Beretta 92G is a version like that for those not wanting a manual safety.
