I am a crazy cat man with a crazy cat lady wife. We have some distance to go compared to Sliva. We have 3000 sq. ft. and only five cats.

Every single cat was slated to be euthanized by the city’s embattled Animal Care Center but were rescued and nursed back to health by Sliwa and his wife.

I don't know much about Curtis Sliwa, but he has my utmost respect for this. I know most FReepers are dog people, but in my humble opinion there is no better friend than a cat.

Not if thing are cared for properly. As I said earlier I have five cats indoors. They are maintained in healthy condition and their boxes a cleaned daily. Not a trace of odor. Healthy cats are extremely clean.

And this is a cool, if smelly, thing that Sliwa is doing.

And who knows, this may be the thing that turns the race in his favor.
