“Dog bites man” stories don’t generate headlines, or clicks. This one should.
Big Tech is attacking The Babylon Bee. Again.
The right-leaning, God-fearing humor site is under steady assault from both the press and social media platforms like Facebook. For example, The New York Times bullied the Bee in print, forcing the site to lawyer up. The Bee demanded a retraction from the far-left paper for maligning the site and its mission.
The newspaper relented earlier this month.
hat’s just part of the story. Facebook has been attacking The Bee for years, falsely claiming its satirical articles are “Fake News” meant to trick the average reader.
Earlier this year Instagram also threatened to remove the Bee’s CEO, Seth Dillon, from its services for absurd, anti-science reasons.
Now, MailChimp is piling on. Mailchimp, a company offering email list services to web sites, briefly suspended The Babylon Bee’s account earlier today citing its violation of “Acceptable Use” policy.

Shouldn't we worry about their "rights" to censor our speech? What makes you think this is going to get bloody?
Liberals do not have a sense of humor, which explains why they are triggered by everything.
That’s not what the NYT says.
I read you’re tagline, gimme back my pigeon.
Sending out bulk emails in a timely fashion without getting blacklisted or flagged as spam requires an email service with a high domain reputation and a sophisticated mail dispatch algorithm. Mailchimp just happens to be one of the more popular ones, but there are plenty of alternatives.
If people are tricked into believing the satirical humor of the BB, they need to retire to their basement or their mom’s attic.

Don’t know about that. A few of the stories are almost believable.
And some of them should be true, for example
WASHINGTON, D.C.— As COVID vaccine delivery continues to decline nationwide, Republican leaders have proposed a radical solution: a vaccination-by-mail program to cover all Americans.
“Since voting by mail went so smoothly last year, we wanted to apply those same principles to our COVID vaccination program,” said Senator Mitch McConnell. “Mail-in vaccines will ensure that we have the most secure vaccination process in American history!”
The Republican proposal is simple: every American will automatically receive a pre-loaded syringe in the mail, along with a COVID vaccine card. Individuals will then self-administer the vaccine and self-report their vaccination status, all from the comfort of their own homes.
“Everyone will be able to receive the vaccine without having to miss work to travel to a vaccination site where they will wait in line for hours,” McConnell noted. “Best of all, nobody will be subjected to any racist ID checks!”
Democrats were quick to criticize the proposal, saying a self-reported mail-in vaccine program was ripe for fraud and dishonesty. McConnell quickly dispelled those notions, saying they were nothing more than a transparent attempt to disenfranchise Republicans from getting vaccinated.
Not so obvious so more. There have been more than a few times in the last year I’ve found myself double checking the source.
Have to read deeply into the story from outside the box.
A webhost provider based in Canada would block my email based on key words like “biden is a pedophile”
They had bought out my last host I had since 2007 that I did not have any issues with. I quit them after after a very short time after they did this a few times. I now use BlueHost https://www.bluehost.com
They set everything up fast for my site and email. It took less then an hour and the instructions from them were easy to follow. I use Thunderbird for the email program.
Do not use GoDaddy for email. they say they support pop server but it is dead dead slow. They push Microsoft Office 365 which spies on you.
At what point are these “cancelations” the equivalent of racial discrimination in public accommodations?
There are open source tools for email list/newsletters, including throttling, that you can install on your server. There are a couple of free or cheap services to run an email through that detect the spamminess of them but that’s a matter of good writing skills and not too many links. All emails must have a one click unsubscribe link which is basic etiquette. There are also free services to run your domain name through that will tell you how well the server is set up as far as trusted standards. I’ve done all of this on my own and I had an email list with a few thousand back in the Tea Party days. Every email went through and I gained subscribers when emails were shared/forwarded. Email hasn’t changed much for many years. 600px wide max and send both html and text versions. I also build websites. The bee runs wordpress and there are tons of solutions for that. Sending via SMTP instead of phpmail is important and that’s super easy.
That’s all pretty basic stuff. What’s extra that mailchimp has to offer is that it can connect to and/or track your social network accounts as well. They also have a lot of data for demographics, best time of day to send to a particular group, analytics etc. That and you don’t have to learn which is a big plus for most people today. Just click a button, sign up and start paying. We’ll hold your hand through the rest.

Turn it right back on them - make them take their own medicine.
The writing IS clever and DOES tend to lead the unwary (which we all are sometimes), but even though I’ve been “caught” a few times ... I’ve always caught myself before going off the deep end
Marxist CEO Cucks
Mailchimp - Babylon Bee ping.
