Is Trump the Future of the Republican Party? (great piece)
amgreatness.com ^ | 6/22/21 | Daniel Gelernter

People think of Trump Derangement Syndrome as mostly a phenomenon of the Left, and mostly unprecedented. It’s easy to get the impression that Donald Trump has taught the Left to hate as they have never hated, and that all previous Republican presidents were moderate by comparison and much more broadly acceptable to America.

But the Left was just as vicious about George W. Bush in his day, and they hated him just as much. He was called a threat to world peace, a devotedly evil man, a stupid man, or all of these: To quote a 2004 Slate article, “he chose stupidity. Bush may look like a well-meaning dolt. On consideration, he’s something far more dangerous: a dedicated fool.”

What is unusual about Trump is not that the Left hates him, but that a lot of the Right hates him, too. And by “a lot of the Right” I don’t refer to actual voters, who turned out for Trump in unprecedented numbers and with unprecedented enthusiasm. I mean the rightist establishment—journalists, intellectuals, and professional politicians. A large portion joined the Left in espousing that Trump was a blowhard, a bully, and not a team player. They warned us that his tweets were alienating people. And by “people,” they meant themselves.

Trump’s tweets were actually hugely entertaining. They were the only good reason for checking Twitter, which I don’t do anymore. Interestingly, Trump tended to attack journalists, intellectuals, and professional politicians. He made fun of them. And there is nothing that upsets these people more than getting made fun of. No wonder they felt alienated.

Trump’s personality is a strawman. The real reason political professionals hate Trump is that Trump doesn’t believe political professionals are especially good at what they do.

The corrupt media for ages thought that they could be liberal biased and deny it, because they wanted to save America from conservatism. Now they are such blatant liars and propagandists that everyone is mocking their "trade" and they evidently recognize the sheets are pulled off and the world know they are merely no talent Leftist activists - they are mad they got caught.

Rule #5

RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”

There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)

“Trump doesn’t believe political professionals are especially good at what they do”

to paraphrase from a successful industry; “That right there is the money shot”

Our PDJT exposed them for the absolute failures they all are.

Roll MAGA, roll!

The real reason political professionals hate Trump is that Trump doesn’t believe political professionals are especially good at what they do. He doesn’t trust the traditional experts, and doesn’t think they have a good track record. When these people call Trump a “low-class loudmouth,” what they really mean is “Trump doesn’t take my advice.”

Spot on. Those people have spent their whole lives building themselves into mediocrities and can't stand somebody saying that to them out loud.

Trump is one of a kind just like Rush was. I firmly believe the Democrats and RINOS thought Trump was dead politically speaking when Biden took office. Surprise Surprise! Trump plus others is laying the ground work for the MAGA movement to keep moving ahead and crush both the Democrats and RINOS. The Republican party is for the elite RINOS and this was displayed on how they back Trump after the election which I will not give another dime to, but as we see MAGA is following Trump. Mega DITTOS!

What Trump proved (which I believe he purposely did to buttress what most people already think) is that these so-called ‘leaders’ are basically snowflakes. They can’t really compete in the arena of ideas (or any arena for that matter). Trump laid the establishment bare and they all hate him for it...which is why I love him!

I don't think "snowflakes" as much as "poseurs". Guys like Mitch, Cornyn and Ryan posed as republicans fighting for our behalf, but that was just a pretense.

Donald Trump is an extraordinary “American” man, who jumped into the breach just when America needed him. I saw the group photo of the G-7, recently, and thought Trump would have stood-out as a man among clowns. On the other hand, it appeared that Biden fit right-in!
