Under the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC), a national mutual aid system allowing states to share resources from all disciplines, today Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced he is sending help to Texas & Arizona to answer their call for more border security officers. At the request of governors in both states Governor DeSantis is sending state and local law enforcement units from Florida to Texas/Arizona [Video Below], including: The Florida Highway Patrol, The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office and Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

There needs to be a Red State Commission or Authority, that can pool and strengthen law enforcement by combining the power of all Red states. Border enforcement is the clear and most important starting point. This will enable Red states to at lease reduce if not blunt the invasion of illegals, deadly drugs, and sexual slavery trafficking. This could be big. Perhaps, a constitutional law expert could comment on this idea.

Need a Red State Coalition that works together on a lot of things. Would be good practice for when/if the need to secede comes along.

There’s no reason border county sherriffs could not deputize, train, and deploy thousands in defense of their land.
It is nice to see governors willing to help. That being said I question how much this will help. When they catch people who cross the border, the border patrol has to pick them up from them and then we have to do the processing and paperwork.
Problem is that once they are across the border a lot are here to stay under this administration. In other words one can catch as many illegals as one can, but at the end of the day very little good will come of it because this administration will not enforce our immigration laws. Our biggest need is to prevent people from crossing not catching those who do cross. We can’t prevent them from crossing if there is a giant magnet pulling them across (benefits and amnesty awaiting them).
Yes we still need to catch as many as possible so that we can prevent terrorist and rapist from staying, so this will be helpful but it is only a bandaid.
Polk County not sending help yet. Grady still needs his guys. And they would likely shoot someone.
Unfortunate they have to resort to these measures when it’s the Presidents first JOB & Responsibility to secure our borders and protect the citizens of this country. It’s obvious neither Biden nor Harris have any concern abut this invasion of foreign actors pouring in, nor the traffickers, nor the illegals coming who will crash our medical and welfare system over time.
They should name this alliance “THE BLUE BLOCKERS”.
