Good luck since its the most popular sporting rifle in the country and everyone owns one or five. 😆

I think that may be one of the reasons that they want he AR. It’s kind of a cap gun. Then they go for more powerful weapons, simply because they’re “X times more powerful than the AR-15.“ Rest assured that if the Garand isn’t in the first go-round, it’ll be in the second one. The SKS, too. They were, after all, as-issued infantry weapons.
The restrictions on barrel length result in the M-forgeries having more muzzle energy than the M-4s issued to our troops.

What Ramirez misses....and I LOVE his stuff.
Is MOST AR-15's only shoot one bullet at a time,,,,just like the revolver in the cartoon.

Gettin’ close to it...
and the lines are drawn; some states have passed laws telling the feds they can’t infringe on the state’s citizen’s 2nd amendment rights.
Ex: Texas HB2622

I wonder how many will get that reference. More than a few, I think.
Where's Wilson Blair when you need him?

"Rest assured that if the Garand isn’t in the first go-round, it’ll be in the second one."
You may be right, s'why we need to ensure there is no "first go-round".
I'm assuming massive non-compliance - like in the states that (all but) banned the ARs.
If they know there were, say 200,000 sold in a given state, and only a couple thousand guys turned in/registered them, they know 198,000 weren't taken out of the state - they're evil but not stupid.

Still readily available at reasonable prices.
Not $250, though.I think the cheapest I ever managed a build was just under $300 (not counting FFL transfer fees, etc.), a few years back when parts prices were in the basement. I used all new parts (except the front sight assembly), but the finished product looked a little unusual; green anodized lower receiver, with a black upper, and the barrel (which came 'in the white') finished with baked-on, hi-temp automotive paint. Sold it & most of my other guns to a local FFL last year, so it could find a new home with someone who needed it more than I did...
