Manny Grossman is a Crowdsource the Truth viewer who was inspired to create his own YouTube channel and begin his own investigation.
If you're like me, you have heard of the Son of Sam but don't know much about it. What Manny and his investigation have revealed may shock you even if you lived through the Son of Sam ordeal and think you know what happened....

This amateur detective goes to the scene of where the murders occurred and witnesses lived.
Recent speculation has centered on occult connections to the murders.
I thought some of you, like me, might need a break from politics and enjoy watching true crime shows.
Does it hint at other people being involved or mistaken identity?
I just finished a series on Netflix called Sons of Sam: A Descent Into Darkness. It focused on journalist Maury Terry’s investigation into the cases. After watching that, I really think that Berkowitz did not act alone.
It’s funny some of us find this intriguing. And a “break from politics”. I like the mystery but I also like the empathy. I do serial killer shows, medical problem shows and Air Disasters (any disaster, really, but that’s the only disaster show regular; Seconds from Disaster is what started me).
So strange. While waiting for the opening credits of episode there, I decided to pop in to Free Republic to see what’s new and this thread is first up. Creepy.
I don’t know. I’ve only watched the interview of the maker of series. Based on it, I think his series will be good and will explore many angles.
That Netflix documentary was interesting. A little slow to start but comes around.
Supposedly, Berkowitz was acting as part of a group known as “The Process.” I bumped into them in college in New Orleans in the early 70s. Behind a New Age facade, they reeked of sinister things and the liberation of psychopaths to do their worst.
I believe it still exists today but as mass shooters. That’s why mass shooters destroy their hard drives.
Read Maury’s book. There is a TON of detail there that will make you wonder exactly what in the world went on with those killings.
Unlikely in the formal sense in that the Process Church of the Final Judgment fragmented and left no successor. In a broader view its influence arguably continued among its former adherents.
Maurrys book, The Ultimate Evil, investigated this and the tentacles go all the way to Spawn Ranch and Laurel Canyon.
I’ve heard of a communal group with a similar name to The Process but I can’t think of what it was/is. Supposedly they went a bit silent in the 70s but got into real estate (Boston area?) and still exist.

Wikipedia says they met up as Scientologists in the early 60s and then that investigators originally thought that the Manson Family was linked to them. Well Charles Manson DID get tested by the Scientologists and even had an e-meter on the ranch.
There used to be a Boston Church of Christ back in the 80s..used to meet at hotel function room IIRC.
.
There was a cult in Boston in the 80s but I don’t recall the name of it.
But this other “process” organization was 70s, with a black logo and got into real estate. may or may not have been Boston.
Friends showed me their literature and I immediately recognized them as Gnostic and Manichean in nature. In essence, they claimed that Good and Evil were both created by God, with Evil being part of "the Process," it was hinted that Evil conduct was legitimate because it contributed to the Divine Process. My characteristically sharp comments about that reasoning and the group got me a reputation as an opponent of The Process.
About a year after The Process appeared, an acquaintance met with me to say that I had been right. Ignoring my warnings, he had fallen for The Process but then broke away as its sinister doings and demands were revealed. He became alarmed enough for his safety that he dropped out of Tulane to return home.
