Some version of this has become my perennial Mother’s Day Post.
Can you believe it…it’s Mother’s Day already! Even during stressful times like these the years tick by at an alarming rate. I can’t say for sure whether the universe is expanding but I can verify the fact that time is accelerating. My Mom has been gone for 12 years already this month, which doesn’t even seem possible, sometimes it seems she was here just yesterday. Mom: ever a part of you, always with you, even when she isn’t.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.
To celebrate mothers is to celebrate life itself. Like virtually everything else in life there are exceptions but for the most part mothers are indeed exceptional in their unconditional love and devotion. At a Mother’s Day gathering in 2017 Melania Trump explained it this way:
“Mother is a title that claims your heart and changes your life forever. In fact, it has been said that having a child means allowing your heart to walk around outside of your body.”
So if you’re lucky enough to still have your mom around, grab some flowers and thank the woman who let her heart walk around independent of her body.
Give her a big hug (assuming neither of you have the Wuhan cooties of course). If she’s no longer with you, honor her memory by recalling the good times you had when you were both impossibly young.
For time is indeed a most fleeting commodity.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there – and to everyone else who has, or ever had, a Mom.
Moms:because life doesn’t come with guidebook, it comes with a mom

Dads are Dads and we love them to death....
But Moms are different.....I really miss you, Mom...
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY..............
I love Mom, but she can only point to, not replace, the REAL Guidebooks of Life: Holy Spirit, the Bible, and Blood-Bought Redemption.
The Mom who does that is a real Mom indeed.
I understand what you’re saying. But “it” does come with a guide book, The Bible. I used it as I raised my kids and I still use it as the grandmother of 6.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers. Use The Guidebook. You can’t go wrong.
THANKS for this thread. Happy Mothers Day to all especially my dear Mom gone since 2007. I feel you near most every day and certainly feel your love and happiness. Love you Mom (Bernice).
My mom died 53 years ago, never knew my dad. . Never know what to do on Mother and Fathers day except praise Jesus and stay away from church. . God bless you all who have moms and dads, cherish them ofor all the love and direction they gave you.
It’s not “mothers day”. According to the Marxists that Republicans never confront, “Mother” is a gender exclusive term. Instead we should call it “Birthing people day” which is inclusive for all genders.
I have an idea: How about we have a “F U to all Marxists” day?
One day for real moms and 364 days left for the fake moms who rip their children out of the womb.
Every day is mother’s day - and father’s day for me. But then, every day is Christmas and Easter - for me.
Let's have 364 FU2AM Days a year. We'll keep Mother's Day special for the 365th.
Oh my. She truly was, and is, stunning. In the second picture she has that delighted smile everyone has when holding a puppy.
Not all moms are created equal. I am thinking in particular about the nazi Frau Goebbels who poisoned her 6 daughters.
>>I have an idea: How about we have a “F U to all Marxists” day?<<
I have been doing that as a daily chore
Thank you! Had a lovely lunch with her and other family and friends, today.
She loves the fact that I raise hunting dogs in my retirement. She is always happy to help with the puppies or any of the farm animals. She’s a Farm Girl from way back. She has an especially cute relationship with our ornery old mule. He just loves her and whinnies whenever he sees her, to her delight.
Of course, he knows she always has carrots and apples for him, but it’s still cute. :)
Never part of my upbringing but it’s a nice thought.
Your mule’s affection for your mother reminded me of this:
Happy Mother’s Day!
How Sweet! *LOVE*
