The vermin infesting D.C., both GOP and Democrat, think of themselves as an aristocracy. It is obvious the author has the same aristocratic attitude when he wrote “Whether it's the Cheneys, the Bushes or the lesser bloodlines”.

If any Republican does not understand that the current GOPe leadership wants to become members of a new hereditary nobility then they are blind.

It’s “Hoisted on their OWN petard.”

Why do I always have to be the bad guy?

“And the normal American people are nowhere to be found. We don’t even exist except as a punchline...”

...and to answer their phony political petitions with small contributions to show the pollsters and other phony poiticians they have support.

Anytime I write to a political representative, one of two things happens:

1. There is no response; or
2. I receive a boilerplate reply that is completely irrelevant to what I said and demonstrates that they want to collect my money but will do what they want and don’t give a hoot about my opinions.

” breaking the Ruling Oligarchy”

That was all our goal when we voted for him.

Amen, AMEN, AMEN.

Funny how these Lib journalists go to bat for the GOPe.

Sort of makes you think they’re on the same side.

I just checked his bio on linked in: https://www.linkedin.com/in/davidsiders/

He's perfect for politico: no experience outside of being a journalist. He even covered Jerry Brown for the Sacramento Bee. That tells me all I needed to know about him.

He’s no longer a “journalist”, he’s an editorial columnist with a degree in journalism. Don’t you just loved the way he inserted his opinion into the column?

Maybe it is the other way around?

As far as I can see it, when only Trump stood up for the grassroots and what WE wanted, the elite GOP families went after him and STABBED him in the back, thinking they would stop US.

It’s not going to work. We’ve been at this too long, taking down the GOP swamp. We despise you. My mother and I were talking today about how much we despised McCain and how he was forced on us.

It goes both ways. The Bushes, McCains, Romneys and Cheneys were as much against Trump as Trump is against them. Probably more so.

Plus, Liz's undoing is Liz's own doing. If she weren't always talking about Trump all the time, she wouldn't be worrying about losing her position. All she had to do was just do her job, but she couldn't stop with the attacks on Trump.

Cheney has something else planned, probably. A media job? A think tank? Maybe even a run for the White House. It won't succeed but will probably secure that media or think tank job for her.

It’s “Hoisted on their OWN petard.”

For ’tis the sport to have the enginer Hoist with his own petard; and ’t shall go hard But I will delve one yard below their mines And blow them at the moon. O, ’tis most sweet When in one line two crafts directly meet.

— Prince Hamlet, in Hamlet, Act 3, Scene 4

I had to look it up myself.

“It’s a tragedy,” said Arne Carlson, a former two-term Republican governor of Minnesota. “The problem with the revolution is they continue to get more and more extreme. Whereas Liz Cheney was on the right, she now finds herself being pushed into the middle and, ultimately, off the cliff.”

You RINOs pushed us this way. You played buddy buddy with the left even though their intentions to destroy our way of life became more and more obvious. You were and are a coward. You are no longer needed... a quisling who gave up the country to barbarians. GTH.

...no Republican has crossed the former president and come out ahead.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’s because he’s got the base on his side, a base that is now fully “woke” to the betrayals of its former leaders. We are in uncharted waters and Trump has a mandate.
