"I Got Mine" Won't Work Anymore

Posted on 05/01/2021 7:03:47 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

Okay my friends. How do we fight the catch phrases like 'income inequality'? Makes us the defensive right off the bat. They just have to point to the obvious wealth out there to say it's unfair. 'No one working 40 hours/week should live in poverty.' Blowing them off doesn't do anything for the younger generation-communist. They're lost. College loans, putting off marriage, investing in Obamacare they don't need. Major surgery is needed and the poverty pimps have an easier time stroking resentment while we quietly go about our business. What's the solution?

Simple. The secret to building wealth is to live below your means and save/invest the difference.

I started my working career shagging grocery shopping carts, delivering newspapers, bagging groceries, washing dishes. Even then, I was able to put a little aside for myself each payday. This works!

I’ve been around too many people where getting ahead is just not in their vocabulary. Being told what to do is not easy to put up with. They get left behind while the rest of us make peace with our employers in some form. Resentment builds and the we end up getting told what WE have to do. It’s theft.

Not really. Not my problem.

What's the solution?

I got mine and don't care that they didn't.

We ought to be thrilled with “income inequality,” and proud to say so openly.

Who the hell wants to live in a society where a neurosurgeon DOESN’T get paid a hell of a lot more than the guy who delivers Amazon packages for a living?

We need to reclaim the American language and drive home a little logic. I suggest we begin by destroying leftist institutions such as public education.

The basic problem is that this nation was founded by Christians, for Christians. The people have, over some generations, become pagans. Christians are self governing and in need of little government. This because they are accountable to a Holy God whose word is supreme law. Pagans are wholly selfish, unruly, and tribal. This because they are not accountable to anything higher than Power, and law is what those in power say it is.

The answer is wholesale conversion of the Pagans in our Country.

‘income inequality’

Do you think Hillary Clinton is willing to live on my income or even yours?

Unsound money is the root of the problem, not lack of socialism or fascism. A quick illustration is that in 1964 quarters were 90% silver, min wage was $1.25. The melt value of silver in 5 of those quarters today is worth $22. Of course how we got here is more complex than just that example, but think it could get people thinking that otherwise wouldn’t.

Income inequality was instrumental in nearly wiping out abject poverty worldwide. Through the 20th Century, abject poverty went from >90% to <10%. That’s possible because of sufficient incentive, in the form of staggering wealth, to bring affordable goods/services to the very poor - and to enable the very poor to improve their own economic conditions/productivity to have something to trade.

You want cheap food/clothing/shelter/care/transport for all? Give someone incentive to provide it - and rewarding him with a dollar per each of a billion customers isn’t unreasonable. Yes, some people are in fact a million times more productive than others.

First thing are across the board import tariffs. Then stop all immigration. This alone would raise the American std of living by 50%.

Anything else BS.

One single factor changes everything:

2 parent(male & female), families.

Someone on FR posted the chart showing the numbers.

I like to confound them. I agree with them and add that it is only the Christian thing to do, to have armed government tax agents take wealth from the rich. Why else did Jesus tell Peter to buy a sword, if not to take from the rich by force? I congratulate them on being such religious people without even knowing it. It really messes with the minds of those who have the slightest clue. The rest of them think I agree with them.

Otherwise, trying to educate them violates one of Muhammad Ali’s Great Rules of Life: Never try to smarten up a cbump.

Dr. Thomas Sowell has the solution to this. He says to tell the socialist that the way our economy works is that no one in poverty today has to stay there forever. By working and gaining marketable skills, you move yourself into more lucrative jobs and careers. Up goes your income and quality of life. If you make decisions that take you off that path, that’s on you.

‘No one working 40 hours/week should live in poverty.’

Very few Americans working 40 hours/week are living in material poverty.

Generally, except for people making more than about $24/hour, Americans working 40 hours/week qualify for subsidized PPACA health insurance premiums.

In my Florida county of about 500,000 people, probably less than 500 people that work at least at least 30 hours a week lack their own motor vehicle.
