No greater man. Ever.
God bless George Washington and the USA!
Founders, REVWAR ping!
It’s been said that there are no indispensable men, but George Washington was pretty close.

Washington won in a landslide.

Confused. You saw names of voters or of candidates?
I know that GW was a landslide. But it almost sounds like you meant the candidates.
Excellent. My favorite president. Thank you for posting this.
I had the honor, about 5 years ago, of standing next to the spot in NYC at which GW took his presidential oath for the first time. (A statue of him occupies the exact spot.)
Greatest president ever.
Amen
Thank you.
The General.
If there were 40 voters in one precinct, George Washington got 37 votes.
He was the clear winner.
It was a very interesting find.
We were there on Friday, April 30, in honor of the 232nd anniversary of that first presidential inauguration! Several re-enactors were present in costume, including President Washington himself and "Mrs. Q," a well-to-do merchant woman of Revolutionary-era New York City, who appeared in a hand-made gown of the type that would have been worn to the many balls and celebrations at the time. After meeting at Federal Hall, we re-traced the route of the first inaugural parade, up Wall Street to Broadway, then north on Broadway to Saint Paul's Chapel, where the assembled federal officials, including the newly-inaugurated President, participated in a full worship service.
Video of the day is on Mrs. Q's facebook page - Patriot Tours NYC - at https://www.facebook.com/PatriotToursNyc/
Mrs. Q is Karen Quinones, who is a historian of the Revolutionary period and gives walking tours of the historic sites in New York City. Her web site might also be of interest - https://patriottoursnyc.com/ - Enjoy!
God did bless George Washington. And the USA.
Early on Washington had two horses shot dead beneath him, two bullet holes in his coat and one in his hat - in one battle. An Indian Chief (fighting with the British) said later that their once trusty rifles were useless when aimed at Washington.
The winds that hindered the British and the rare fog that allowed our troops to escape Manhattan (or was it Staten Island).
All sorts of other things as well.
Of course God’s blessings are often based on what we do with them, and on how we keep his commands.
Ok, I’ll buy providence, but how do you explain others in a similar situation? Notably Wyatt Earp.
Oh, I am so envious. Sounds lovely. God bless.
Thanks for the link to the FB page of Mrs. Q.
Yes, it was great. Afterward we went for dinner at Fraunces Tavern, where Washington said farewell to his troops.
God bless you too. :)
