Black-owned businesses trapped in the Minneapolis no-go zone where George Floyd was murdered by a police officer are pleading for, among other things, help from police, reports the New York Post:
Black merchants near the once-thriving corner of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue said police have abandoned the blocked-off intersection, creating a dangerous autonomous zone that has seen crime spike and business evaporate.
“The city left me in danger,” the owner of Smoke In The Pit restaurant told The Post Thursday.
“They locked us up on here and left us behind,” said the merchant, who asked to be identified only as Alexander W. for fear of reprisals.
“They left me with no food, no water, nothing to eat,” Alexander told the Post. “The police, fire trucks, can’t come in here.”
Welcome to one more Democrat-run city more interested in pushing lies about systemic racism than actually fulfilling its primary obligation: keeping its citizens safe and ensuring they can freely go about the business of living their lives and making a living.
The Post reports that the no-go zone is empty of consumers. Hardly any customers come anymore because they know it’s unsafe and are likely to be harassed (or worse) by the left-wing terrorists in Black Lives Matter and Antifa, not mention the criminals and gangs who roam free without fear of police.
“The black-owned businesses say they have lost 75-percent of their business since the Floyd memorial sprouted up shortly after his death” and “feel they have been the sacrificial lambs” at the hands of a Democrat-run city....

Maybe they need to form a group called "Black Businesses Matter."
They might be surprised by who comes out to support them.
Maybe all of the polling companies can do a poll of all the business owners......one question.
WHO DID YOU VOTE FOR?
It’s their city. It’s their Mayor. It’s their police. It’s their problem. They voted for it. Tough schiff.
They ought to send a letter of thanks to Maxine Waters, AOC, and the 3 rich women Marxist heads of BLM.
There is a 95% chance these black business owners voted for the government they have.
“Alexander told the Post. “The police, fire trucks, can’t come in here.”
So no cops, then. Have a bit of fun on your own.

Forget it, Mack. It’s no-go-zone
Why does it matter that they are “black-owned businesses”?
Are not white owned businesses also suffering?
You get what you vote for and will ALLOW...votes and ballot stuffing matters...
The race of the owners shouldn’t matter. I get the impression that this neighborhood is a largely black area, with a number of black owned businesses.
I’ve never been there. Any familiar with that area, please let us know if that is a “ghetto” area of Minneapolis.
I am thinking they’ll get paid one way or the other. They’ll get a bailout or some rich liberals will do some go fund me and raise more for them than they would have ever made. Unfortunately, they will be able to raise money but the white business owners won’t.
I thought “owner” was a racist term.
St George of Floyd’s family got the gold mine. The black business owners got the shaft. Some black lives matter more than others. Oh well, nothing left to do but keep voting for their masters the DemoRats.
black capitalists dont matter.
Apparently he was a Master Sergeant before becoming an entrepreneur.
This is his second spot, probably on his way to a third spot.
Anyway, SmokeInThePit food look damn good! And they've got DoorDash on the website, so I know you Minne/StPaul Freepers are hankering for ribs, wings and catfish.
At least his body wasn’t found weeks later in the burned out remnants of his shop like that one guy’s was.
The rioters destroy lifetimes of labors, the places they and their neighbors depend on for jobs and places to eat or shop. They doom their betters, their neighbors who would build a future, because they engage in mind boggling stupidity.
Best advice I can give them is leave Minneapolis immediately. Your city government has abandoned you.
No, Homie, BLM "left you in danger"!
