Legislature packing.

Like court packing.

Brought to us by Joseph Stolen who sits in the White House because of ballot box stuffing.

DC residents would be much better off being residents and citizens of Maryland.

Ask folks who moved out of DC to PG County and other jurisdictions in the area why.

They’ll put the DC star right in the center of the flag; a huge one.

I thought they needed 218 vote to pass anything.

US Constitution:

“To exercise exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten miles square) as may, by cession of particular states, and the acceptance of Congress, become the seat of the government of the United States, and to exercise like authority over all places purchased by the consent of the legislature of the state in which the same shall be, for the erection of forts, magazines, arsenals, dockyards, and other needful buildings;—And
To make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof.

Nothing in there gives congress the power to create a State out of it.

What’s the likelihood the Senate will go along with it?

I think they probably will, but hopefully someone will convince me otherwise.

And of course if the Senate passes it Joe (Kamala), will gleefully sign it into law.

Adding extra states, packing the courts and nationalizing election law have one thing in common. They need the Filabuster removed in order to pass. We now have one Senator who is in the way and she is a RAT. Who would have thought the fate of America now boils down to the Whim of one person?

The District of Columbia used to be a square, and consisted of land taken from Maryland and Virginia in 1790. In 1847 the Virginia portion was returned. If D.C. residents want representation, then return the residential portions back to Maryland, and they can have full representation through that state.

This would give the Dems two more Senate seats and one more rep. in the house. Thus making it even easier to pass controversial bills that it is now.
We have many RINOs in the GOP who will often side with the Dems.

Deep State says what’s legal now.

The Constitution has been voided.

And since the number of Supreme Court justices seems to be flexible reduce that number to three.

According to Heritage Foundation, it is not constitutional ~
Not that it matters in 2021...The following article is from 2007:

Statehood is now the clear preference of District of Columbia voting-rights advocates, but the proposal has never excited much support in Congress and would, in any case, also require a constitutional amendment since an independent territory, subject to the ultimate authority of Congress, was a critical part of the Framers’ original design for an indestructible federal union of indestructible states.

Democrats are probably looking at not making The Philippines (population over 100 million now) a State as a big mistake.
