Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax that believes what Derek Chauvin did to George Floyd was morally inexcusable, but also believes the case should be reversed on appeal and explains why:
"Well first, what was done to George Floyd by Officer Chauvin was inexcusable morally. But the verdict is very questionable because of the outside influences from people like Al Sharpton and Maxine Waters. Their threats and intimidation and hanging the ‘Sword of Damocles’ over the jury – basically saying that if you don’t convict on the murder charge, or all the charges, the cities will burn, the country will be destroyed – seeped into the jury room because the judge made a terrible mistake by not sequestering a jury. So the judge himself said that this case may be reversed on appeal and I think it might be reversed on appeal. I think it should be reversed on appeal…."

You are a liar.
Take a healthy, 46 year old man and put him in Floyd’s place that day. He lives.
Floyd killed himself.
This same judge is presiding over the trial of the 3 other cops.
Agreed. They had every opportunity recently to show solidarity with conservatives. What I’ve seen was people at pro-police rallies attacked as cops watched, people arrested for defending themselves, so on and so forth.
We need police but I can’t support what they’ve become. If they spent more time with community engagement instead of writing tickets and harassing people for filming, maybe my views would change.
I’m done with unconstitutional check-points, war on drugs abuses, confication of property, shooting us left and right and their damn qualified immunity.
