The easiest ghetto lottery won I have seen so far
I think the women cop is just lying her ass off about the Taser thing, to cover up.
Is the female officer dyslexic and can’t tell her left side (where the taser was holstered) from her right side (where her handgun was holstered)?
Scary thought is that this particular officer is not a unique individual. With the eroded standards and fitness requirements just to achieve a social agenda, my gut tells me that there are many police departments who have these types running around, armed and ready to go.
Well played sir!
CHIEF GANNON: "I was front and center at the protest, at the riot."
QUESTIONERS: "Don't do that... There was no riot."
QUESTIONER: "Will you commit to protecting protesters and the people of this city."
CHIEF GANNON: "I am committed to protecting the peaceful protesters of this city every day."
QUESTIONER: "Not yesterday."
CHIEF GANNON: "Peaceful protesters."
This isn’t fighting for sport.
This isn’t fighting to see who’s best at it.
This is fighting that can turn into a life and death struggle real fast.
We have spent a tremendous amount of time, energy and money developing and enforcing laws for people in this country.
When someone decides that they don’t have to obey our laws, then they become an outlaw.
Will an outlaw shoot a police officer to escape?
Good joke.
Yup. Unfortunately.
That's my guess, but reading MN law for involuntary manslaughter, it requires "conscious action": "... consciously takes chances of causing death or great bodily harm to another..." If she thought she was tazing him, she didn't "consciously" risk his death.

No, she had been in the department for a long time. I think they are trained to keep the gun on the dominant hand side (where the dominant hand can easily reach for it).
I don’t know what happened in this case. She clearly didn’t mean to shoot him but to taze him.
I see what you did there. ;-)
Well this is the police they wanted. The police haters (many on here) will do the typical lament and hate on. My point of contention is who forces hire and the lack of skill and training let alone the fact most have no right to come close to putting on the badge.
No? No what?
Why would any decent person want to be a cop these days in the big cities with the BS they have to put up with?
And this started a long time ago when Big City mayors decided that there were too many “Neanderthal” Males in the Police Department.
I have compassion for her. But I question putting females into police work.
The shooter was panicked out of her mind. Police forces absolutely must screen candidates for self control before arming them, whoever failed to do so, or pushed politically correct quotas or whatever are responsible for this killing. She was a major threat even to the other cop — he’s lucky to be alive.
You are so right.
Will an outlaw shoot a police officer to escape?"
Agreed. This case will give yet more life to the movement to defund the police and more.
If people are allowed to get away with resisting arrest or to choose which laws they think they should or shouldn't follow, it's an invitation for chaos and nothing that even remotely resembles a "civil society."
They're called the thin blue line for a reason...
Now we are pushing petite women into the police force in order to meet "diversity quotas" and so now we have these panicked ladies, who would have been better off working in a nail salon, pulling handguns that they thought were tasers and shooting people to death.
Now before anybody chides me for having a sexist opinion, let me state that there are many men who do not have what it takes to be a police officer either. In fact, there are many men would would be better off working in a nail salon than being a police officer and dealing with the scum of the earth night after night.
Don't feel sorry for the perp, resisting arrest and being a general ass has consequences. I do feel sorry for the young woman who has had her life effectively ruined by panicking in a situation she never should have been in.
