The Chief Medical Examiner for D.C. on Wednesday gave his determination on the causes of death involving those who died in the Capitol riot on January 6th.
Dr. Francisco Diaz, the Chief Medical Examiner, listed the causes of death as following:
• Ashli Babbitt, 35, died from a gunshot wound to her left shoulder, her death has been ruled a ‘homicide’
• Roseanne Boyland, 34, died of acute amphetamine intoxication, her death has been ruled ‘accidental’
• Kevin Greeson, 55, died of hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, his death has been ruled ‘natural’
• Benjamin Phillips, 50, died of hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, his death has been ruled ‘natural’
The cause of death for Officer Brian Sicknick was not as open-and-shut a case as widespread media reports led many Americans to believe. The death of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick is still unknown and under investigation.
Despite there being a federal murder investigation, there have been several impediments preventing the building of a murder case for what is apparently the only non-protester death related to the Capitol riot. In February, the New York Times had to correct a report that originally stated:
One Capitol Police officer, Brian D. Sicknick, was killed, and investigators are increasingly focused on whether chemical irritants were a factor in his death, according to a senior law enforcement official. The Capitol Police said in a statement that Officer Sicknick died from injuries sustained “while physically engaging with protesters.” Two officers involved in the response have died by suicide, the local police have said.
The Times’ “update” preceded by one day the acquittal of former President Donald Trump of the impeachment charge of “incitement of insurrection” at the Senate trial. CNN had earlier conceded that the narrative about Sicknick did not yet match the evidence on February 2nd — ten days before the Times’ story correction.
Officer Sicknick was given the high honor of being lain in state the Capitol rotunda; it was an honor denied to William “Billy” Evans, an 18-year veteran of the Capitol Police who was killed in a car crash by an African-American man wielding a knife on Friday.
Despite a nationwide FBI manhunt for those who participated in the January 6th uprising, it appears that no one was armed and the only person we know was killed was Ashli Babbitt. That we still don’t know the name of the officer who shot her on video is one of the inexplicable mysteries of the Capitol riot. It is also one that no one in the mainstream media seems intent on solving.
I think he went back to the office and called his brother?? and said he was okay.
Why hasn’t the name of Ashli’s killer been released?
Because the COLD BLOODED KILLER IS BLACK!!!!
“Two officers involved in the response have died by suicide, the local police have said.” !
Impossible. Numerous conspiracy nut armchair forensics experts have assured me Ashli was a deep state "crisis actor".
What if Sicknick was the killer. Whoever organized this made him a fall guy and then the medical staff pulled a Jack Ruby on him. Maybe he wasn’t even a Trump supporter to begin with as the corrupt media suggested.
I simply don’t trust this gubmint anymore.
Who shot Ashli?
Let me rephrase. Who was the congressman who shot Ashli point blank in the face without warning?
“Ashli Babbitt, 35, died from a gunshot wound to her left shoulder....”
Are we to guess that the shoulder wound led to her bleeding to death? Thus indicating possible willful neglect by whomever treated her?
RE: Who was the congressman who shot Ashli point blank in the face without warning?
How do you know it was a congressman?
How do you die from a shoulder shot though? Seems odd.
I’m with You.

Medical,
Military and
Just about
Everyone else.
I think she bled out - they said she went unresponsive almost immediately even though people tried to help her. Didn’t hear if she was DOA at the hospital.
The 34 year old, I thought that was the one previously described as “trampled to death.” Maybe she got trampled after the OD.
There’s a common law rendering automatic killing contraptions in one’s home that visit death on unwary breaker-and-enterers when one is absent from the home illegal. They were determined to be too devaluing of human life (yes, even of the misguided lives of ordinary “burgurglers” as Rush used to say). The trigger-happy shooter in this case was lingering out of sight and in a cowardly wsy near that entry point just waiting to pick off for the sin of poppping their head in. The first person to do so was facing an unexpected death penalty from this unnamed shooter. Nobody in D.C. that day could have been expecting such brutality unless they were planning for it to happen for political purposes.
She was shot in the neck.
“Homicide” only means that she died at someone else’s hands. Which she certainly did. The term is value-neutral.
The shot was from her left side. Being shot in the left shoulder from point blank range by someone standing on your left side is pretty close to a worst case scenario. Heart, lungs, esophagus, trachea. Her fate was sealed when the trigger was pulled. There was no saving her.
Suicide, or suicided?
Very odd that two officers committed suicide over this kerfuffle...
