Georgia passed a law that greatly expands people’s opportunities to vote. However, because it mandates Voter ID for absentee ballot requests, Democrats, led by Joe Biden, have announced that the bill is the Second Coming of Jim Crow. Joe went further and sought to destroy parts of Georgia’s economy by calling for Major League Baseball to move its All-Star Game out of Georgia. And the MLB franchise heeded that call.
One of the highlights of the baseball season is the All-Star Game, which was set to be played on July 13 in Atlanta. Since 1933, midway through the MLB season, fans pick their favorites from the American League and the National League and then the chosen stars compete. I’m not a baseball fan but I’m willing to bet that, in terms of ad revenue and merchandise sales, it’s an important part of the business end of pro-baseball. And it certainly brings revenue to the city hosting it.
On Thursday, Biden made one of his little scripted appearances, this time on ESPN. It’s worth noting that ESPN, which Disney owns, long ago transferred its allegiance from sports to leftism with a serving of sports on the side. Trump, who was a fine athlete when he was young, was never allowed near ESPN.
Sage Steele, ESPN’s interviewer, told Biden that

‘Not fun to watch anymore.’
between phony pick off lobs to first base, batters stepping out of the box to adjust gloves each pitch, pitchers staring for ten seconds for a sign, then stepping off the rubber, managers strolling out to the mound...even without political drama, baseball as a spectator sport has sucked for a long time...
‘College baseball is far superior to the disaster of major league baseball.’
the ‘ping’ of ball on metal bat will never replace the sweet sound of the ‘crack’ of ball on wooden bat...
no purer sound in sports exists...
As much as I hate Biden, I’m not going to put most of the blame on him for this one. MLB chose to go this direction. They certainly wouldn’t have moved an All-Star game in response to outrage from the right or Trump, even when he was President. They probably see this as helping with the millennial and Gen Z audience they’ve desperately been trying to woo. What they fail to understand is that even younger baseball fans are different from NBA or NFL fans.
I lost interest after the 2002 game which ended in a tie. There are no ties in baseball!
Add in the WNBA... Put them all together and what do they spell?

Communists are on a mission to erase American culture, to be replaced by woke collectivism
That said, goodbye pro sports, hello high school, college sports, and actually playing the games in my spare time
‘As much as I hate Biden, I’m not going to put most of the blame on him for this one.’
I don’t hate Biden; my vote for Trump expressed my approval of certain positions he held (undoing America’s involvements in global warfare for one), not from hate of his rival...I try not to hate anyone I don’t know personally...
that said, I do blame Biden for involving himself in this travesty, knowing full well the power of the bully pulpit; it showed a lack of judgement and poor analytical skill at determining the size and scope of a problem...
I used to be an avid baseball fan, but lost interest when the players started kneeling during the anthem. I never went to games to get a dose of leftist politics. It was easy to walk away.
Yup, our family is now down to Gonzaga hoops and UNT Mean Green sports.
I was planning on attending a couple of games at the Rangers new ballpark, despite how bad the team is. Not now, and that means the venues adjoining the stadium won't get any of my money, either.
Eff them, and the Democrats can raise taxes on millionaires and corporations all they want...I don't care anymore.
Let's see how "patriotic" LeBron and his buddies are, when Papa Joe comes to them with one hand out, and the other with an AR-15 known as the IRS.
‘There are no ties in baseball!’
certainly there are; by rule, any tie game that completes five and a half innings and is curtailed by rain or other adverse conditions goes into the books as exactly that; a tie...
the second All Star game in 1961 comes to mind (during the time when MLB inexplicably played two all star games)...
The last All Star game I remember was is in 1970, when Pete Rose ran over Fosse.
I haven't missed it, and I don't see any point in supporting an industry that goes out of their way to tell me how much they hate me.
Love it.

Why not. He’s killing America so what’s a little thing like baseball to the stumbler in chief?
