Joe Biden’s Gun Control Plan Is Really Class Warfare
National Interest ^ | 3/27/2021 | Pedro Gonzalez

Under the plan Biden teased on the campaign trail, “assault weapons” and “high-capacity magazines” would come under the National Firearms Act. The definition of “assault weapons” would extend to semi-automatic rifles, handguns, and some shotguns. High-capacity magazines are those that hold more than ten rounds—or most standard magazines.

Gun owners would have two choices: either surrender their property to the government or pay a $200 tax to keep each item, which will be added to a national registry. For many people, this would quickly turn into thousands of dollars paid to keep their own property. A hunter, for example, with just one AR-15 and four standard capacity magazines would owe the federal government $1,000. Failure to comply could mean up to ten years in federal prison and a $10,000 fine.

My rebuttal to this ‘tax’....near 500 people a year in the US are killed by baseball bats or hammers. Shouldn’t there be a $200 yearly tax for bats or hammers as well?

FR POSTED:......copies of a Firearms Transaction Record and a receipt for the gun dated Oct. 12, 2018 reveal Hunter Biden (a known crackhead) responded “no” on the transaction record that asks, “Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?” <>Five years earlier, Hunter had been discharged from the Navy Reserve after testing positive for cocaine, and he and family members have spoken openly about Hunter’s history of drug use.

Lying on the form is a felony, though prosecutions for it are exceedingly rare.

Neither Hallie Biden nor George Mesires, a lawyer for Hunter Biden, responded to requests for comment.

The gun-store incident occurred during the period after 43 year old Hunter got tossed out of the Naval Reserves for his positive cocaine test.....subsequent to his divorce from his first wife, Kathleen.

The gun incident began when Beau’s widow Hallie, living with Hunter, searched Hunter’s pickup, which was parked at her home in Wilmington, because of unspecified “suspicions she had,” according to the Delaware State Police report.

Inside the truck, Hallie found a .38 revolver. Hunter has referred to the gun himself....as "my .38".......

==================================================

Now surfacing are S/S denials of their involvement in assisting Hunter. S/S denials are refuted by Hunter's own emails WRT the incident . The S/S called on the gun shop owner....but the astute shop owner refused to handover Hunter's transaction records fearing the S/S would discard the evidence. Instead he handed the documents to the ATF.

NOTE WELL: Any involvement by the Secret Service on behalf of the Biden family...... or, on its own initiative......would be inappropriate interference in an incident that was already being investigated by Delaware State Police with the involvement of the FBI, according to law enforcement officials.

"According to Gary Kleck, the David J. Bordua Professor Emeritus of Criminology at Florida State University, assault weapons were only used in 1.4 percent of gun crimes before the implementation of national or state assault weapons bans...

Pedro (the author) is not helping gun owners by misusing these terms. I would wager that ZERO assault weapons were used in gun crimes before these bans. Standard semi-auto rifles? Yes. Assault weapons? No.

“Pedro (the author) is not helping gun owners by misusing these terms.”

The first rule of debate is to reject the opponent’s premise as having any validity. A corollary to this is to also reject the opponent’s language and definition of terms. Failure to follow these simple dicta will mean you conduct the debate on the opponent’s ground of his choosing, an unlikely-to-win proposition.

Win amd control at whatever cost, and they will only resort to worse measures if they ever lose and regain power.

The Amsterdam News; a radical black newspaper, many years ago, wrote an excellent piece on the banning of Saturday night Specials (Cheap handguns), suggesting the same premise; that high taxes on weapons or the banning of affordable weapons adversely affects those that need them the most.

Gun control, like unions, minimum wage, marriage licenses, and most other progressive policies, was originally instituted to control minorities, especially blacks.

For those with long memories, between 1962 and 1984 the anti gun forces ONLY wanted to register and ban handguns. “Rifles will not be affected.” they said. They had no problems with semi-auto rifles or high capacity magazines.

Then in July of 1984, the San Ysidro McDonald’s massacre took place. The prime weapon was a shotgun and an Uzi with a 16 inch barrel.

Suddenly the demands for handgun bans was put on the back burner as the anti-gun forces found a new hotter target, semi-auto RIFLES and high cap magazines!

They have kept the pressure on these since 1984, but rest assured, if they can get a ban to stick, they will be back after their first target, handguns.

***was originally instituted to control minorities, especially blacks.***

Absolutely true. The Black Codes forbade a black person from even touching a firearm and the “Duty to Flee” laws were designed to prevent them from fighting back when the boys in white sheets showed up at their front door. No “Stand your ground” allowed(for blacks only) they fled out the backdoor where, guess who, was also waiting for them.

"The first rule of debate is to reject the opponent’s premise as having any validity. A corollary to this is to also reject the opponent’s language and definition of terms."

Here's a great example of that. As one Freeper mentioned...Poppy Harlow kept moving the goal posts. The Congressman tried to answer her first question plus explain the difference between assault weapon and an AR-15. She interrupted him and "changed" her question. He made the mistake of trying to follow her line of questioning. He should've taken control by telling her he wasn't finished answering her first question...but he got sidetracked by her incessant interruptions.

The Racist Roots of Gun Control.

SYG, Castle Doctrine and other self defense laws have roots in the push back against Jim Crow laws. Yet today's “black leaders” line up to help the Progressives destroy all of the progress made to secure black families.
