On Thursday’s “CNN Tonight,” host Don Lemon said that if he was fully vaccinated, he’s not going to get rid of his mask “Because I care about other people. I care about something more than myself” such as people who have chosen not to get vaccinated, and asked, “Why don’t you be a patriot, why don’t you just be a decent human being and stop trying to be so negative and get Dr. Fauci or Joe Biden?” And stated that “Biden is doing a fantastic job when it comes to the pandemic. He’s saying all the right things. He’s doing all the right things.”
Lemon said, “This is not about being selfish, hey, I’ve got mine, you get yours. That’s what people are saying. So, if I get the shot, let’s say I’m fully vaccinated tomorrow, I’m not going to run out and flaunt it and take this mask and, just like, oh, throw caution to the wind, I’m going to burn it. You know why? Because I care about other people. I care about something more than myself. I care that there may be someone who has a preexisting condition who may not have been vaccinated. I care that there is a woman who is trying to get pregnant, who has concerns about the vaccine and may not have taken it yet or a woman who is pregnant who has not taken the vaccine because she’s worried about her unborn kid. I get that. Because why? I am a thinking, compassionate, empathetic person, and I just don’t have politics at the top of my head.”
He added, “Why don’t you be a patriot, why don’t you just be a decent human being and stop trying to be so negative and get Dr. Fauci or Joe Biden? Guess what?...

Who cares what Lemonaids says?
I’ve had no issues taking the shots that have protected me from all sorts of diseases. (More than most as I got all the shots for an assignment in Morocco. Damn! Felt like a pin cushion.) But this is the first time that politics has entered the discussion. If somebody is accusing me of not being patriotic or something else along those lines if I don’t get the shot, it makes me think this isn’t about protecting me at all. I’m reminded of a cartoon of a king alone on his thrown. He has a dark expression and there’s a black cloud over his head. He’s thinking, “Sure I’m paranoid. The question is, am I paranoid enough?”
Then why doesn’t he wear one on air?
I think it is rather interesting what he said and in some ways hope he is taken seriously by some.
I would rather people who get vaccinated be pressured to keep wearing masks than unvaccinated people be singled out.
Perhaps some people will start wondering what this is all about if we are basically being told there is no end to masks, even if the bulk of people are vaccinated. They might wonder about the vaccinations themselves. They may start to wonder if people they once thought were crazy conspiracy theorist are really not that crazy.
Marxists love power.
The beauty of this Lemon dude is how incomprehensible he is. He is luzing millions of viewers every month , partially due to how he is incapable of explaining the libtard POV.
Such BS. At this point they should be pushing for herd immunity. Large population of people have been vaccinated and more every day. Large population had already had it and more are catching it everyday and recovering. Why not get rid of the masks. If biden came out and said that his popular vote would sky rocket compared to now. But it’s about control. Keep the people scared and under control. Stay locked behind your fence and pass your orders. It’s like they are doing all they can to destroy America. Keeping the small businesses locked down till they can’t reopen. Tax big businesses so they can’t hire. Destroy jobs. It’s like he is doing everything the opposite of Trump. Out of spite I am guessing. They will push the masks until the rest of the population quits listening to him. He won’t be around long anyways.
Hey Lemonhead....
Isn’t there an ass somewhere that needs pounding? Stick to what you know.
Did he ever consider being patriotic and not trying to get Trump or anyone in his administration?
“Because I care about other people. I care about something more than myself. I care that....”
Yeah yeah yeah. The mask is the ultimate red ribbon for the virtue signalers to wear in 2021.
How about this. You seen to be caring enough for both of us, Don. You keep recycling your CO2 and choke off your little grey cells as the rest of the world moves on from this stupidity.
“Why don’t you be a patriot, why don’t you just be a decent human being and stop trying to be so negative and get Dr. Fauci or Joe Biden? ”
When did Lemon give Trump a chance? Why would anyone expect a smarmy little faggot like Lemon to be a decent human being?
When the MSM uses the word variant in every sentence be very worried.
Sorry Donnie. My patriotism died on November 2 and with it any loyalties I had to “society” or “others.”
I am disturbed by this “vaccinated” vs. “unvaccinated” division; e.g. the nobility vs. the pariah. In fact, natural immunity is always better than vaccine mediated immunity, and MANY of those who choose not to get vaccinated have likely had COVID with little or no symptoms and now have immunity that is likely to protect them better against new mutations of the virus than the vaccine. Even more so with this “vaccine” since it is not exposing the entire virus to the immune system, but only one protein. There is a test available that can accurately assess who has developed an immune response to the virus, so instead of focusing special privileges on those who has been vaccinated, we should be thinking about three groups i) Who has immunity, ii) Who doesn’t but has little risk of complications and iii) Who doesn’t AND is at high risk of complications.
Heads up, LemonIdiot: BidenIdiot #notmypresident
Even Trump supporters?
>>“Because I care about other people. I care about something more than myself. I care that....”
I recall plenty on the Left saying that they HOPED conservatives would get Covid and DIE and how they should even be denied treatment.
Stalinists lie. Always.
Mask wearing has always been about ‘virtue signalling’ “I wear, therefore I care.”
I have been roundly criticized for saying that it’s up to you to protect yourself (wear a mask), you shouldn’t rely upon others wear a mask to protect. Much of the masking is also to project a sense of “We’re all in this together.” Now, collectivism always appeals to the liberals.
Gen.Blather wrote: “If somebody is accusing me of not being patriotic or something else along those lines if I don’t get the shot, it makes me think this isn’t about protecting me at all.”
This isn’t about you’re getting the shot. This is about continuing to wear a mask after you get the shot to protect others.
FWIW, I had my second Pfizer yesterday. I plan to continue wearing a mask as I have in the past, only when you make me.
BTW, our mask mandate expires in about three weeks and Governor MeeMaw has said she will not extend it. The question then becomes will our local governments and retailers continue to insist on masks?
