A continuation from last week’s thread. Discussion of the three Covid vaccines currently available in the USA — Comparisons. Contrasts. Pros. Cons. First hand experiences, scientific insights, etc...
The current vaccines available on the market are:
1) Pfizer/BioNTech (mRNA) 2 doses 2) Moderna (mRNA) 2 doses 3) Johnson & Johnson (DNA adenovirus vector) 1 dose
Yes, it’s very sad for the comorbidity/compromised.
Unfortunately, there is no long term proof that these experimental, unproven shots will protect, or NOT harm one, in the future.
Trick question, there are none.The mRNA injections are not true vaccines. These are all experimental gene therapies.
Now why any person wants an unproven untested treatment for a highly survivable disease that they don’t have is beyond me.

There has been no long-term human testing. Enjoy being part of the experimental group, which only exists because the government hid or lied about the existence of other treatment options. Facts matter — unless you’re a Demonrat or a willing toady of media propaganda.

Really? Please explain the biological process by which the vaccines’ mRNA strands get to the genes in the cell nucleus to do their “therapy”. Surely you must know if you’re trying to advance that belief.
All these are not vaccines but they are shots and all are dangerous.
These are experimental and only would not pass FDA approval except for the emergency approval.
Are you going to be a guinea pig?
All the lab animals this was tested on died.

Serious question, though, if anyone has reliable info.:
The next day after my wife’s 2nd Moderna shot, she had the side effect of considerable fatigue & she had to come home from work). 36 hours later she was fine. But...
A week after my wife had her 2nd shot, she developed a rash over her entire body. I’d describe it as quite pronounced, and halfway between diaper rash and hives. Our initial thought was that it was a vaccine reaction, but, researching it online, I could find no specific information about rashes so long delayed, happening after the 2nd shot, and not rather injection site specific. We concluded that more likely she had entirely coincidentally triggered a seafood allergy, as she’d recently had two different meals that seemed (either) likely sources (one shellfish, one fish), and, such food allergies DO sometimes pop up after many years of exposure to the allergen, esp. if one gets a heavy exposure to fire it off. (Similar happened to me with poison ivy — it never bothered me at all, then, one day as a late teen I got an extra helping exposure [sawdust from a vine my Dad cut through with a chain saw], and, boy, howdy...)
So, I was all convinced the shot was not to blame... ...And then my cousin told me of a close friend who had a very similar reaction several days after her friend got her shot, but, in that case the reaction was to the 1st shot, and it lasted over 2 weeks! The friend’s arm swelled quite a bit, too. I STILL can’t find anything on several day delayed rashes, but, my cousin says her friend’s Dr. says it’s fairly common after the Moderna shot. This is not making sense to me. If it is a common reaction (and it certainly is quite dramatic at least in appearance), why does there seem to not be any information on it online? OTOH, of the very limited number of people I actually have discussed vaccine reactions with, or witnessed, TWO have had a whole body rash? That seems like quite a coincidence, any way I look at it.
Has anyone seen any info. online specific to this sort of delayed (by several days) whole body rash reaction?
At least in my county, the County Health Dept. specified that they were providing the Moderna jabs at the
mass vaccination clinics”* they had established. This information was on the website where one went to sign up & schedule the shot.
However, they did NOT automatically schedule me for a 2nd shot after I received the 1st one: There’s just an empty “block” on the vaccination record card, for the 2nd jab. Nor have I, 2 weeks later, received a follow up text. The Health Dept. does have my cell phone number now...
*”Mass vaccination” in this case turns out to be roughly 100 people per hour if they are fully scheduled. Not bad for a modest population area.
mRNA is genetic material used to make spike protein of the Covid virus. So it’s genetic material used as a prophylactic treatment. It’s also experimental as defined by FDA.
The mRNA passes into the host cell and taken up by ribosomes that produce the spike protein. The spike protein induces immune cells to produce antibodies to the spike protein which confer a specific antibody immune response to the Coronavirus,
Vaccines are generally attenuated inactivated viruses that are non pathogenic that induce an immune response.

I see. So vaccines are GENERALLY that but not always. Examples of VACCINES that are exceptions to that statement are the Moderna and Pfizer VACCINES.
