A continuation from last week’s thread. Discussion of the three Covid vaccines currently available in the USA — Comparisons. Contrasts. Pros. Cons. First hand experiences, scientific insights, etc...
The current vaccines available on the market are:
1) Pfizer/BioNTech (mRNA) 2 doses 2) Moderna (mRNA) 2 doses 3) Johnson & Johnson (DNA adenovirus vector) 1 dose
You seem to be a person with knowledge of vaccines and I would like to know what your thoughts are in the future.
Hope you have safe travels.
Good job.
I remember when there were smart people on FR. Sadly now we have knuckle draggers like you who think they're scientists. Because of vaccines, you never died from Diphtheria, Typhus, Small Pox, Polio, Whooping Cough and many other horrible diseases. Quit being stupid and get the shot.
Second one will also be Pfizer.
My Pfizer is 4 weeks apart, They are finding out it does not matter as much.
Mrs. R17 and I did not have a choice.
We got whatever they had on hand that day.
We both had our 2 doses of Pfizer a month ago.
No ill effects whatsoever.
Pfizer.
I wound up with the J & J vaccine. They were upfront about which vaccine we were getting once we were in the clinic. But, there was no advance information about what you’d get when you made your appointment. It was indeed a case of “you get what’s in the store.”
This was in Taxachusetts.
I agree I am enrolled in the JNJ Ensemble 2 trial which is their backup plan to the 1 stick already approved. Which if that happened they told us we would be unblinded and if we got placebo they would give us real thing. Novavax has a good one I have a nephew in their trial. The real interesting one is the “plant based” Meticago vaccine (Canadian outfit) that my sister is in a trial for.
How does it feel to be 1st gen GMO human?
Yup. The government has created a health crisis emergency over the annual Chinese flu. Those conditioned by the nanny state are rushing to get the sacred shot. You’d think it was like winning Publishers Clearing House for $11 million.
Same here.
And your other concerns are legit minus the fractured mRNA -- dude, you know recombinant mRNA at even 55% titer is going to accomplish the task, unless your endocrine system is completely shot or cirrhosis.
Both Pfizer and Moderna's mRNA shot are overkill -- fortunately for Pfizer the true overkill halo has fallen to Moderna.
Hey I am getting paid good money to test a vaccine LOL which I am sure will be required to board a cruise ship which I am inordinately fond of doing. The cash from the trial should pay the freight on a couple of cruises
Our son and his bride are having their first child and while I think the whole COVID thing is over-hyped nonsense, the daughter-in-law buys the hype and won’t let us see the grandchild unless we are vaccinated.
So, we took the shots, no issues.
Post 35, please.
Can you explain what you mean by the mRNA overkill?
Its not a conservative or liberal issue. If we really ‘follow the science’, as the left is so fond of beating us over the head with, then actual testing results along with personal preference (its my body) should drive individual decisions.
I dont believe that masks work and am against mandates. I am against closing businesses down by decree. I havent contracted COVID or flu in the last year and I have not been tested nor vaccinated. I do get flu vaccines annually as well as the other usual vaccines for someone my age.
However, I am considering the vaccination and when it is actually available for my group in my area, I will make a decision based on as much medical knowledge as is available at that time.
That thought process has nothing to do with why we have lost our great country.
You don’t have a choice. Whatever the state gets is what’s given
son needs to tell the daughter in laws shes not head of the house
