During the 2020 presidential campaign, Texas Democratic Congressman Beto O’Rourke often bellowed on how, if elected president, he wanted to take away your firearms, specifically your “military-style” AR-15 through a mandatory gun buy-back program, something unconstitutional on its face and a direct infringement of the right to keep and bear arms enshrined in the Second Amendment, During the Democratic presidential primary debate on October 15, 2019, the Congressman responded to the question of how he intended to enforce that proposed gun buyback program:
Although he hasn’t offered exact specifics on the program, he did share some additional details at the debate. “If someone does not turn in an A.R.-15 or A.K.-47, one of these weapons of war or brings it out in public and brandishes it in an attempt to intimidate, as we saw when we were at Kent State recently, then that weapon will be taken from them,” he said. “If they persist, there will be other consequences from law enforcement. But the expectation is that Americans will follow the law."
The Second Amendment is the law, Mt. O’Rourke, and just which part of “shall not be infringed” did you not understand. There is no asterisk at the end of the Second Amendment. Yet you and now soon-to-be-former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would enact your gun grab and take the AR-15 and the hand gun Mitch and Patricia McCloskey “brandished” in their constitutional and lawful defense of their private home in St. Louis in late June 2020 as rioters broke through an iron gate and paraded with their own weapons in front of their housw.

I bought a charging handle and bolt that turns my AR15 into a bolt action. It’s no longer a scary “black assault weapon.” That’s fine for the range and any idiot wanting to look at it. Plus I can add whatever I want to a bolt action weapon.

I think the moderate democrats are putting their hope in election reform, because the current trajectory of the administration and congress would guarantee a blue bloodbath in 2022 in a “normal” year.
I don’t even know what is normal anymore.
Nancy is afraid to come out from behind her Iron Curtain..

Compare her to Paul “Deep State” Ryan as Speaker.
He was most concerned about what the media and democrats said about him.

Remember 1968 when they “ONLY wanted to ban foreign Saturday Night Specials and 5-shot bolt action army surplus rifles?”
They got the ban. So the importers started importing “Police Rifles” off the same assembly lines with the same markings, that looked the same. They had never been issued to military units so they were A-OK!
Finally Reagan stopped that stupidity and 5 shot bolt actions again were imported.
