31 Missouri Judges Recuse Themselves from Lawsuit Alleging Family Court Guardian and Psychologists Orchestrated Money-Making Scheme

...In St. Louis County, Mo., Evita Tolu has filed a lawsuit against family court guardian ad litem (GAL) Elaine Pudlowski, psychologist James Reid, and clinical social worker Jennifer Webbe VanLuven, alleging that the trio conspired to use her custody dispute as an opportunity to get rich while sentencing her children to life with an abuser. The lawsuit alleges a scheme perpetrated by a group of professionals to drain parents involved in custody battles. At the end of the court process, parents are broke and kids are traumatized while GALs, court-appointed psychologists, and therapists are enriched. Tolu says the scheme kept her in court for three years, drained her bank account, and alienated her children from her. The suit alleges that this pattern is a regular family court occurrence when Pudlowski is involved.

Plaintiff contacted parents from four cases which were pending at the same time as Plaintiff’s case in saint Louis County and Saint Louis City courts, where Pudlowski was a Court Appointed GAL. Plaintiff talked to [redacted] who filed a Motion to Disqualify, after Pudlowski recommended custody to father who was sexually abusing the child despite the DFS finding of abuse and pending criminal investigation. Pudlowski interfered with the DFS and criminal investigation. The court, however, did not disqualify Pudlowski in [redacted’s] case....

In the above case, Pudlowski’s bill came to a whopping $71,000, which had to be paid by the parents.

In that case, Pudlowski’s bill for services was $80,000. According to court dockets, Pudlowski had 86 hearings on 86 separate cases just in the month of December, and Pudlowski and Reid worked together on twelve of them. Pudlowski’s caseload is the highest in the county, if not the entire state.....

That's a lot of judges recusing themselves.

Seems to be an admission of guilt of the same crimes by all of them.

Sounds like they are all guilty.

It’s tough to get more Justice out of the Legal System than one can afford to buy.

Judges cannot judge cases to which they are a party to.

The corrupt judges tend to stay on the case and have to be dynamited off.

so the ones that recused themselves are probably clean but the judge who is on the case might be dirty.

It is supposed that Jefferson wrote;

“eternal vigilance is the price we pay for liberty”

Meaning that we must keep a close eye on those that we entrust to rule over us.

Unfortunately we have delegated that vigilance to our press/media who have sold themselves to the very people they are expected to watch over and warn US about. The vast majority of campaign expenditures go to the press/media. So that all we here are wonderful puff articles about the monsters contending for our trust.

I swear this goes on in other states. The court appointed morons have zero reason to end the good parent’s nightmare. The child suffers lifelong trauma while draining a bank account. I know personally a case where dad has spent in 7 years dragging on and on over $250,000. Judge in a recent hearing asked dad’s income!!!
Horrendous. I hope this party gets some justice and reimbursement but what about precious child?

It would be better all around if the parents would work it out between themselves. Getting government involved and trying to get a complete win because you think the other parent is bad is difficult to prove. If they were so bad, what does that say about your judgment in the first place.

Family court is the most crooked of all the courts.

This unconscionable crap goes on all over the country, to men and women alike. The lawyers, judges and all the ancillary players in the DIVORCE INDUSTRY all know each other in a given city. At the beginning of a case, the “opposing” counsel know about how much money is available between the spltting parties and they keep the hostilites going until the parents are tapped out. It’s all enabled by the so-called “no fault” system. I’ve seen terrible abuses. I hope this case succeeds, and starts a precedent from coast to coast.

I hope justice is done.

The mom threw ‘sex abuse charges’. She may be the person responsible for the toxic mess in this case.

“Plaintiff talked to [redacted] who filed a Motion to Disqualify, after Pudlowski recommended custody to father who was (ALLEGEDLY) sexually abusing the child despite the DFS finding of abuse and pending criminal investigation. Pudlowski interfered with the DFS and criminal investigation. The court, however, did not disqualify Pudlowski in [redacted’s] case....

Mental illness can develop at any time.

The psychologist diagnosed her as...

““[Reid] diagnosed me as a sociopath and a narcissist with borderline personality disorder,”

OUCH.

That is just about the entire book !!!

1. Sociopath.

2. Narcissist

3. Borderline personality disorder.

Yep.

High cost? Roflol.

At $400/hour, that ‘down’ payment only covers 3 hours of work.

As ‘downs’ go, that is a very low number.

The $400/hr seems a bit high, I would have thought $250-$300/hr. But those numbers are from 10 plus years ago.

That part of the complaint will get laughed out of court... and probably undermine the rest of the ‘case’.

“The Saint Louis County courts often order parents to use Reid’s husband’s services at the very high cost of $1200 down and $400 an hour. “

Hmmm.

Looks like some faulty math going on here.

‘Not that common’... depends on how big the pool is.

“Tolu says she’s talked with between thirteen and fifteen of Reid’s victims who have suffered the same pattern that they describe as a form of psychological abuse. “All of us have ‘borderline personality disorder (BPD),” according to Reid, Tolu said. According to national statistics, Cluster B Disorders in the DSM-IV are not that common and, in addition, many people under immense stress can be easily misdiagnosed with BPD.

Roldan, who is also a licensed clinical social worker told PJ Media, “mental health professionals will attest that when we are under stress, we regress.””

Having spent years involved in cases before family law courts, I can say with some confidence that there are no heroes in this system. The prevalence of exploitive unethical people in every role is an embarrassment. GAL’s, “judges,” lawyers, hired “experts,” the whole family law establishment is a sordid mess. Needs a bomb set off under it.

I worked as a LEO in mo. The corruption is baked into the cake. Of course my experiences were a little over forty years ago. But any good LEO will repeat a common phrase... “a leopard doesn’t change spots”. But for you younger folks, you might want to look into why the kcmo police department was barred by mo state law from wearing blue uniforms. If you want to cut to the end of the story look up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Pendergast
