Is Donald Trump Really Getting Ready to Run Again?
National Interest ^ | 3/1/2021 | Rachel Bucchino

While Trump has clearly cemented a dominant position in the GOP, he hasn’t explicitly said whether he plans to take a crack at running for a non-consecutive term. Experts, however, say that waiting to announce a 2024 bid could be the best thing for his candidacy.

“He has a lot to gain by waiting. He keeps his potential opponents off guard,” Ken Kollman, a political science professor at the University of Michigan, said. “Cruz, for instance, would not be able to go full force to run for president until he knows what Trump will do. Same with Hawley, Graham, Noem and Cotton.”

Until one or both of these two say they’re not running in 2024, my odds-on favorite for the GOP ticket is: Trump-Noem.

Agreed.

Didn't say that, but what would be more effective long term?

Trump taking control of the legislation from the House or begging for changes from the White House? Trump anywhere near the legislation would have him controlling both houses

A Trump in the House as Speaker and a DeSanti in the WH would be formidable

Does Trump really strike you as the legislator type?

Not really, but he does know how to make money, and in the House he could be the one to control the purse strings.

80 million voters think he is a man of the people, why not let him run the People's House?

Whether or not he does, HE is certainly the kingmaker

I am guessing its more likely he’ll run for Gov. of Florida

Is that likely?

Trump as president, no contest.

Trump taking control of the legislation from the House or begging for changes from the White House?

More like watching it die in the Senate, which is what will happen without 60 votes.

It’s a free country... Trump can run for President... So can anyone else.

Democrats want to live in a hellhole where ‘elites’ choose who can run and who can’t run. You know - like every third world hellhole in the world does it - but we’re NOT THERE YET.

Yep, Trump can run. I can run. You can run. Still a free country.

What would be the point? To once again witness a slam-dunk victory be ground up by the jaws of defeat? No frackin thanks.

Rectify the last election and severely punish those responsible for this injustice to US so it never happens again.

At Trump’s age maybe, maybe not!
I pray we do not lose Trump like we just did Rush prior to then!
