The siege of the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, is an important event in American history because it directly led to one of the biggest terrorist attacks on American soil – the bombing of the Oklahoma City Federal Building. It’s not necessary to defend this act of terrorism to understand why the entire freedom movement of the time was so incensed by it. Indeed, it stood as a symbol of federal overreach and the corruption of the Clinton Administration.
It’s important to separate fact from fiction when it comes to the siege of Waco, just as it is important to do so with the siege of Ruby Ridge or the attack on the American consolate in Benghazi. With every event, it is important to stick to the facts and what can be extrapolated from them to make the strongest argument about what went wrong and why, and what could be done differently in the future.

They weren’t CS grenades. They were CN. They will definitely release Cyanide gas in the conditions that obtained. Alamo Girl had all kinds of info about this. Linda Thompson talked about it a lot way back in the day as well.

Though I'm sure I'm one of Amazon's earliest and best customers, this is the first time I've ever reviewed anything here. A link in my email took me here, and I saw that the average customer review was only 4.5. What were these people thinking? I had to see.
On a scale of one to five, this movie is a seven at least.
I first saw it at its premier showing in a New York City theater. After the movie had been shown there was an hour discussion period with the directors. Janet Reno had been invited, but she declined to appear. There were dozens of questions from the audience. A most interesting thing about the questions and answers, I thought, was that with one exception I could not guess where anyone who asked or answered stood on the political spectrum.
Afterwards I spoke to Amy Gifford (one of the directors) and I mentioned this observation to her. I asked her directly about her own politics. She replied, "We don't usually like to say. But since you asked, I'd say I'm on the left." She added that this was the sort of issue that brought left and right together.
Other reviewers who suggest that this movie or its producers are biased must still have the Ozzie and Harriet view of America.
Watch this movie. You will be surprised at how many well spoken Black people died in the conflagration. Watch this movie, and listen to "These Boots are Made for Walkin'" being blared at the compound from your government's loudspeakers as the Davidians tried to sleep. I mean really listen. Listen to the lyrics. "You keep thinkin' that you'll never get burned. I just found me a brand new box of matches. ... One of these days, these boots are gonna walk all over you." Watch all the tanks, and attack helicopters, and blazing guns attacking a place where Americans lived. Watch the flashes on the FLIR video your government says are reflected sunlight, but the man who invented FLIR and anyone with half a brain can tell are your government machine gunning its own citizens as they attempted to flee from the rear of the burning building.
Watch it, and weep for America. (Then lend it to a friend.)
Hillary owned DOJ, and hence, Janet Reno, Bill Clinton’s fall-guy. It wasn’t happenstance that “ the best qualified people” for the AG job had names like Zoe and Kimba.
When Bill had run into that rough patch with the Jennifer Flowers expose, Lloyd Cutler asked Hillary to help out and appear with Bill on 60 Minutes. She asked, "What do I get out of it?" And Lloyd asked, "What do you want?" Then she said, "I want domestic." So she got ALL the domestic stuff in the administration. Hillary ran the Cabinet meetings and got all the picks she wanted, like Reno.
I do believe that she was not qualified to run for president because she had already served two terms.
One of the most screwed up things that come to mind is the Davidians Weapons were locked up in the TXDPS (Texas Department of Public Safety) Evidence Vault and the Defense Legal Team asked for the Weapons to be Examined and X-Rayed to prove that they were not Full Auto and they were told no. (I don’t remember who blocked the request)
As far as I know the Weapons are still locked up in the TXDPS Headquarters Evidence Vault.
Other than that I still don’t understand why the .gov raid could have been avoided IF the govgoons had listened to McLennan County Sheriff Jack Harwell could have arrested David Koresh on His trips into Town and not had the carnage that occurred.
That’s a horrible story, and a damned shame. The sanitized war of drone strikes probably reduces these cases, but will never replace “boots on the ground”. Probably traumatized the cops as well; who wants to do that?
You are correct. It severely traumatized the cops, but only due to their own stupidity and testosterone poisoning.
Their was no reason to start a gun battle. This guy was highly trained as a marksman and was a saw gunner after being wounded and couldn’t carry a heavy backpack for weeks on mission.
If he had wanted to kill there would have been a pile of dead bodies. We have video of him on a rooftop, surrounded by insurgents, and our planes dropping 500 pounders around him to save him from capture. It worked.
I heard the cops and their hysterical emotional testimony. Not all of them. A few were vets and understood.
Unfortunately it takes an incident like that before some cops think before they shoot the next time.
Any veteran should realize that a bond between Special Forces Team members is stronger than a bond between brothers.
They had walked through hell together for years. Do deny his best buddy the opportunity to talk him down was wrong and could have cost many cops lives.
I understand; it is too bad they didn’t let him try. I’d imagine in the litigious society we’ve created, the concern was that if something happened to him other peoples’ heads would roll.
I think I read somewhere that Bill Clinton wanting to blame Janet Reno and fire her for Waco, But Reno promised to expose Hillary if he did.
The only two police officers killed were both former Clinton bodyguards, and both were killed by ‘friendly fire’.
Also the book “The Ashes of Waco” by Dick Reavis. Published in 1995. Very good read.
I read the same thing. How the hell did we get through that administration?

The left is full of sheep and wolves. The sheep can’t be made to consider that no such thing as a perfect world can ever exist; the wolves understand the world is a brutal place, and lick their lips eyeing the sheep.
