Gov. Mike DeWine said Thursday that entertainment events, including sports and banquet venues, will be allowed to re-open this spring with limited capacity and other coronavirus-related restrictions.
Indoor entertainment venues will be allowed to re-open at 25% capacity, while outdoor events including Cleveland Indians games and other professional sports in Ohio will be limited to 30% capacity.
DeWine said safety protocols will be required, like mandatory masks and social distancing between unrelated groups of people as a condition of re-opening. The Indians, for example, have told fans that tickets will be sold in “pods” of two or four seats. All fans will be required to wear masks, unless they are actively eating or drinking in their seats, the email said.
“People will be able to plan for prom, they’ll be able to plan for graduation. There’s no reason these events can’t occur as long as they follow safety protocols,” DeWine said during his Thursday coronavirus briefing.
DeWine said the plan is for the state to gradually ease back restrictions in the coming weeks as the state approaches herd immunity, the point at which enough people are immune from COVID-19 that the virus can no longer be meaningfully spread.....
Ohio has allowed wedding receptions since June 1, under the same restrictions as bars and restaurants, with a limit of 300 people. In November, dancing and socializing in open areas were banned to address the uptick in coronavirus cases.

I can appreciate this is important to people who care about such things, such as people who work at stadiums.
I do appreciate that restaurants have been open for some time. I can sit at table, alone, and reminisce about what life use to be like and eavesdrop on conversations and leave if people are annoying me.
For your consideration.
How very magnanimous of the little ferret face.
How’d they come up with 25% for one and 30% for the other?

I’m hoping someone Lowell pings can help you out because I sure can’t explain it.
How benevolent of this dictator to be so lenient on the masses.
“How very magnanimous of the little ferret face.”
All you have to do is scare the women and they’ll drag everyone else along. Edward Bernays knew.
So what if someone successfully scared the women about something they should be scared about?
—Such as their elderly parents having to be put down because there is no longer any money to support them because the economy was totally destroyed?
—Or the increased percentage chance their kid will kill themselves before they turn 18 because their kid is smarter than they are and sees there is no way that the future won’t really suck for them with people like their moms driving such irrationality?
—Or their husbands and boyfriends saying I’ve had enough of your tripe and so has Joe and Bob with their wives and the three of us are going to move in together, live as platonic roommates, and live our lives as best as we can, even if that includes never having sex again, because I just can’t stand you anymore?
Shame, public official hangings would be well attended.
Oh, may I??? Thank you, thank you very much...
You would have to raffle off tickets to attend, but think of the money that could be raised.
This POS is now pushing to make Ohio an anti-death penalty state too. Not one word of the tens of thousands of illegals in this state either. What could go wrong? Teach me to ever vote for a f’n rino again, promise.
Auctions of tickets will likely take place, to the highest bidder. And they are talking about assessing luxury taxes on event tickets as well.
Will the wonders of living under a benevolent dictator never cease. Thank You Master
We really have become Rome, haven’t we?
Oh, thank you, Master.
FREEDOM is another word for “before Covid”.
Why even bother?
