My father passed away Tuesday night at 88. He was a great dad, great grandfather, USAF veteran, old school peace officer, faithful servant of our Lord, and many, many other things. He kept his body as healthy as a horse jogging on his treadmill and lifting weights up until about two or three years ago when his mind started to falter. He was the last survivor of 10 siblings, so quite literally, the end of a generation.
Please keep our family in your prayers.

I still dream of my mother at least 2 or 3 times a week! And she’s been gone for 4 years.
Sounds like he had a long and healthy life and only declined at the end.
My mother died last year at 96 and was driving, attending church, going to play bridge, enjoying family vacations up until the age of 95.
Sad as it was, we celebrated her life.
That said, condolences to you and your family and I’m glad that you had him until he was 88.
