Madonna has a reported fortune of $850 million but she still feels that she is a victim. In a recent Instagram post, she took aim at the patriarchy that she claims is suppressing her.
She is no stranger to controversy. Madonna has a history of doing and saying anything for publicity, but this recent comment stands out as hypocritical for someone with her experience and history.

She’s just whining because she’s not getting enough attention these days.
Give it up, Madge. You’re a has-been.

She was writing some songs early on, when she was just a singer for a band in NYC trying to be the next Debbie Harry, that was part of her appeal. I’m sure as time went by though she just insisted on taking a writing credit on everything she recorded.

“...Madonna’s not a bad singer. She could have done something like that, started making more “adult” music and had a whole other career trajectory, but I don’t think her pride would allow it.”
As much as a whack a doodle Lady GaGa is that gal can sing rings around Madonna. She actually has talent under all those idiotic costumes.

Yep. The smarter pop singers transition to some other genre before they hit that wall (especially the women, since their expiration date is “harder” than for men). She doesn't have the talent to do that. In fact she has no talent other than marketing herself.
For instance, say what you will about Lady Gaga's politics - personally I think she's a loon in that respect - but she has a tremendous voice. And will thus have a very long career.

Anyone else remember she promised to give oral sex to guys that would vote for Obama? And said she was really good at it?
If that doesn’t garner respect what does?

True, Madonna’s not the best singer, but I still say she’s not a bad singer. She did fine in the days before autotune, which is more than most singers nowadays can claim.

Madonna is an attention-seeker. She’s also well past her prime and utterly irrelevant to pop culture today, so no one pays attention to her. Hence this latest Madonna melodrama.

Problem is,she’s old Ever see Madonna and Bette Davis as Baby Jane together at the same time?

Some people just don’t know when to quit. Hang it up Madonna, and retire gracefully. I’d like to say more, but I’m late for my 65+ full-contact football practice. As the third-string quarterback, I’m only used in case of injuries. So I expect to be put in sometime in the first quarter.

She was certainly not being held down in the 90’s. Unless she wanted to be.....he he he.

Even Lady Gaga can easily switch in and out of different genres.

She started down that road when she trained to sing “Evita,” but she didn’t keep at it. I don’t think Madonna is interested in being a mature artist. She is still dating some 20-year old dancer and trying to be a sex goddess. She’s the Mae West of our times.
