Yep. The smarter pop singers transition to some other genre before they hit that wall (especially the women, since their expiration date is “harder” than for men).

She doesn't have the talent to do that. In fact she has no talent other than marketing herself.

For instance, say what you will about Lady Gaga's politics - personally I think she's a loon in that respect - but she has a tremendous voice. And will thus have a very long career.
