“Ghost guns” are homemade guns. It is already illegal for people to sell these guns because they don’t have serial numbers. Guns are pretty simple items to build. You can build a shotgun with a few sections of pipe and a nail. Requiring background checks on all parts of guns has been one of the goals of Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown.
A recent episode of CBS’s NCIS could have been written by Bloomberg’s gun control organizations (indeed, it probably was). But the notion that these types of regulations will stop criminals from getting guns is a fantasy. The show would have you believe that creating a registry of all guns’ rifling pattern is important in solving crime. New York and Maryland tried this, spending many tens of millions of dollars over decades, but they couldn’t point to a single crime they had been able to solve.

“Homemade” is a bit over the top. Yes, you’ve got to machine the 80% lower shell a bit but the rest is just hand assembled with off the shelf parts.

Right out of Hollywood from 1968, just after Bobby Kennedy was murdered by a Palestinian Immigrant. All news and TV shows had their anti-gun scripts constantly hammering for gun control.
I remember one of their first moves against rifles. A TV movie in which Tom Bosley, the dad on Happy Days, playing an assassin, who is handed an AR-15 with a BIG SCOPE on it. It looked Super Evil in his hands.
It was handguns.

Some on the left talk about “common sense gun control”. But they will never stop. Even if we became like Britain, regulating kitchen knives.

I’ll guarantee you if the DemocRATS confiscated every gun in America within a month illegal guns would be flooding across the Southern Border and be harder to detect than illegal drugs or aliens.
Actually it would take the govt over 50 years to confiscate all the private firearms and there would be a lot of dead bodies along the way.
Look for 80% firearms. You MUST perform the work yourself and the only way you can transfer ownership is through a will.

Yep. The feds will subpoena the companies’ credit card records and your name will be on the list. Goes for the jigs to complete the firearm, too.
“Ghost guns” makes it sound like they are guns wielded by ghosts. Would make a great horror movie, but still not as terrifying as an America without the Second Amendment.
