Twitter reports $1.14 billion net loss for 2020

Twitter announced on Wednesday its financial results for the fiscal year 2020, saying it recorded a net loss of $1.136 billion against net income a year earlier.
“2020 net loss was $1.14 billion, representing a net margin of -31 percent and diluted EPS [earnings per share – Ed.] of -$1.44. This compares to 2019 net income of $1.47 billion, representing a net margin of 42 percent and diluted EPS of $1.87.”

MAUs increased basically they are counting the Chinese bot and DNC troll accounts that have been added since November as a win. A good idea is check out Biden’s new followers and see who they are following or how many followers they have...most follow the dnc or China accounts

Not surprising they are losing money. They built a whole infrastructure for people to send free, public micro-emails. Where is the money even supposed to come from? Ads on the micro-emails?

I deleted my Twitter account. Not so much an inconvenience to me since I don’t use it much but I figure it helped make Twitter worse off without me being there.

They are the worst designed site for making money that I’ve seen. If they go for subs or pay at all, they’ll fail as fast as Quibi did. They’re doomed long term anyway for the reasons you said.
