On Monday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki dismissed a reporter’s question on where the American workers who lost their jobs due to Joe Biden’s executive order shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline would get the promised “green jobs” by giving a snarky response as callous and out of touch as anything uttered by Marie Antoinette.
“Well, I’d certainly welcome you to present your data of all the thousands and thousands of people who won’t be getting a green job,” Psaki answered. “Maybe next time you’re here you can present that.“
In Psaki’s world, government officials are not to be questioned about the veracity of their claims or held accountable for failure to fulfill empty promises.
At least 11,000 American workers have already lost their jobs due to Biden’s executive order shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline. Thousands more workers in supporting industries will also lose their jobs as the the effects of Biden’s order trickles through the US economy.
Psaki’s dismissive response was pure deflection as she is fully aware, or should be if she had any cognitive abilities, that none of these now unemployed workers will be getting any new “green jobs.” Even if the Democrat’s energy policies were miraculously create thousands of well paying jobs, which is highly doubtful, they would not appear until five to ten years into the future. This is hardly comforting to families who have mortgage payments due next month and now have to scramble to replace lost incomes.
Secondly, the skill set for any of these future new jobs would be entirely different from that of the jobs now being destroyed. Any new employment generated in the “green energy” sector would undoubtedly go completely different set of workers than those who are now facing a bleak future.
In addition, the potential future green jobs will not undo the damage to the local economies inflicted by Biden’s imperious executive order. The many hotels, restaurants, barbers, and other mainstays of the local economy will find no solace in the formation of new jobs elsewhere in the country.
The Democrat’s constant retort that Americans who lose their jobs due to government interference in the economy can get equivalent jobs through retraining is reflective of a mindset that treats workers and interchangeable cogs rather than as individuals possessing unique sets of skills acquired over years of hard work.
In the view of Democrats, individual lives and welfare must necessarily be sacrificed to achieve progress toward the glorious future that can only be reached by controlling hand of the state. They misconstrue the proper role of government as one that guides the lives of its subjects rather than one that protects their liberties and security of its citizens. The path being pursued by Biden and the Democrats leads only to despotism, reducing free men to slaves of the state.

Perhaps it would be good to note that Peter Doocy is the journalist who asked that great question.

Pipeline workers axed, Uber and gig economy next. This is just the beginning folks. Minimum wage will be the coup de gras.
They are attempting to create the framework of a totalitarian state on the Chinese model: all prior culture must be destroyed (Mao who hated his country did that); all means of income must belong to the State (Mao); all dissent must be crushed (Mao). To achieve this goal they must do away with the old laws and constitution so they can remodel the law into whatever they want at any given moment.
You can see where they are going with this Marxist-Leninist model molded by Mao. They do not care a wit about workers’ welfare, happiness, or bank accounts. Workers are expendable and easily replaced as is any current population.
Along the way, they will do or create all manner of seemingly stupid or crazy actions, laws, comments for the purpose of tearing down the old and bringing in the new. Plus, such a system will make it far easier for China’s CCP to rule and direct the country, having, in one stroke, eliminated an existential threat.

He should come back with a long, convoluted question, to ask if SloJoe knows all of the costs and damage being done related to stopping on the Keystone XL pipeline. I think I read yesterday, that the excess energy needed to ship this oil (over rails) would be enough to power 490,000 cars per year. Then the issue of how the COSTS will be passed along to all of us, for the excess cost of shipping by rail. ETC
And what magical power does Biden possess to instantly create a solar panel factory with all the included infrastructure?
