If Trump were to create a new party, would you join?
I keep hearing how bad it would be and how it would 'split the vote' and hand the victory to the Democrats.
I disagree, because I think a majority of people would go with Trump.
There is currently about 25% of the country registered as GOP. That's about 80 million people.
If Trump formed a new party I would think nearly everyone who voted for him (over 70 million) would join. Plus some disillusioned Democrats AND some independents.
That would make the new party bigger than the old GOP. Their funding would dry up overnight.
The current GOP is not just office holders- there are huge bureaucracies of party officials. If NY GOP is any example, they seem to think they have permanent sinecures and the party funds are for them to host social gatherings.
I would really like to hear reasoned arguments against it- I can't think of any that hold water.

The GOP and DNC would work to keep it off of ballots just as the DNC successfully kept the Green Party off the ballot in certain states.
I would join because of the need for a refreshing change.
The republican party is dead to me.
I won’t join a Trump party because at the rate the democrats are going, the box cars are coming soon to take any Trump supporters to the re-education camps.
If he started it I’d follow him. But...I MUCH prefer he remain in the republican party and the LOSERS leave.

Didnt Trump say he is not starting a new party...??? Besides, until our voting system is corrected...it doesn’t matter. Btw...my county GOP is a Trump supporting one.

The last time I belonged to a party was prez, however I would join to help piss off the GOP, leave the rino’s behind and finally a party who not on the take.
They already know who you are and have marked you. The voter registration isn't going to make a d***ed difference.
That said, I would join the MAGA Party in a heartbeat.
I’m open to it. Would have to be big enough to completely preempt the Republican and part of the Democrat Parties, plus pull independents.
