“That’s a very deep rabbit hole you’ve found yourself in there, Alice.”
In an age where everyone is just a heartbeat away from being cancelled for anything, is nothing sacred?
Even coffee beans are no longer considered neutral ground(s).
Cancel culture has reportedly spread to the banking sector, as Chase Bank refuses to do business with a pro-Trump coffee company.
Chase Bank has stopped pro-Trump coffee company Covfefe Coffee from using its payment processor service, WePay, for seemingly no legitimate reason.
And I see where Bank of America is using ‘War on Terrorists’ statutes in order to turn customer information over to the Feds without their permission. That’s 2 out of the top 5 banking institutions in the United States that cannot be trusted, and we’ve no reason to believe the rest are any different.
I am very much beginning to feel like a stranger in Heinlein’s strange land.

Chase Bank?
I am cancelling all of my credit cards I have with them.
Going over to Wells Fargo.
Chase will soon discover that this is a two way street.
Eff ‘em.
This crap is over the top.
“War on Terrorists” statutes? Has there been an official designation?
The real fascism in the US is the cooperation between large corporations and the government. The biggies wine and dine the politicians to get the market manipulated in their favor, squeezing out the little guy. This occurs with both parties and is nothing new. Even though Dems harp against big business, note they never complain about the colluders on the government side - it takes two to tango bubba.
Also note, no matter who wins, spending always goes up. Forget balanced budgets, that’s just another distraction. The only way to get back to limited gov is to cut that spending.
The only action we can take, short of a real revolution, is to hit them in the pocketbook as best we can. The money they take from us through taxation and their steer of large corporations is their real power. Note what stores have never closed during the covid bs.
Unfortunately, 75 million people can’t just pick up and move into the hills, so I’d advise, as best you can do and afford:
-Use cash instead of Credit cards, which are now bank cards, and instead of debit card. Those banks and credit companies like Visa, get a slice of the transaction- debit or credit. Take thay money away from them. 1-3% is the take.
-Buy at the small guy. It will cost you more, but if you can afford the difference, do it because it’s less money for the biggies.
-You probably can’t get by without a bank. State banks were the rage in the early 1800s and wound up causing financial crisis, hence the federal “takeover” (I may be off a bit on my history here). Nevertheless, when you need a bank or credit card - go to sites like bankrate, etc. and pick the smallest bank you can. If they get big, go somewhere else.
-Buy American. Our gov folks use foreign governments and deals to launder money into their campaigns. Take away their money too.
-Own a business? Use US suppliers. If relevant, don’t do H1B visas - this just fills the country with people who have no respect for our constitution. They see no benefit to things like the second amendment because they came from a disarmed country - and their actions on these issues make a difference. This is why big tech has no problem censoring us. They have no comprehension of the difference between being ruled and governed.
-To the degree you’re willing, get out of your 401k - these funds mostly include the bigger corporations. Take the plunge and use some of that money in direct stock buying of small/mid-cap US companies.
-Don’t use store membership/bonus cards. Grocery stores use this to sell your data of what you buy. Since it is often the case you need the card to get a sale price, only use it for sale items if you must.
-And, as you may have guessed, stay off social media (other than sites like FR!).
See tagline.
