This is really stupid. The football is carried by one of the rotating presidential military aides, whose work schedule is described by a top-secret rota (one from each of the six service branches). It is a commissioned officer in the U.S. military, pay-grade O-4 or above, who has undergone the nation’s most rigorous background check. These officers are required to keep the football readily accessible to the president at all times. Consequently, the aide, football in hand, is always either standing or walking near the president, including riding on Air Force One, Marine One, or the presidential motorcade with the president.
So if this is the case, has anyone even seen the president with the football in hand? And if it is the code card, ever seen him take it out? I have observed presidents since Kennedy, was assigned to work under a few, and I have never seen the POTUS actually carry the briefcase.
Factually it was during the Kennedy administration the football was invented and it was called a football because the name came from an early nuclear war plan code-named “Dropkick.” (“Dropkick” needed a “football” in order to be put into effect.) 1963.

“Conservative media” is being strangled by clickbait. While you and I might use discernment there are millions out there looking for “hopium” that this nightmare is not happening. I have to field questions every day from a conservative relative who is desperately seeking hopium and finds stuff like this on social media and believes it. Some of the stuff she finds online is flat out crazy.
I am frustrated with it. I bought into some of it also back in November (I was as stunned as everyone else) and now feel like a fool for doing so. In hindsight, there are many legitimate things that show evidence of electoral fraud. If you stepped away from FR and conservative outlets you quickly saw how the convoluted conspiracy theories were covered and dismissed with derision while the legitimate questions were ignored. We did not have enough focus on the blatant stuff that was easy to understand with ample proof.
“We” shot ourselves in the foot with this stuff and my new rule is to only read sites where the headlines match the content and the content is NOT based on unreliable sources. Twitter is one persons opinion, but sites like Gateway Pundit make a clickbait title and story out of a single post with no corroboration. Perhaps it is legitimate to pose the question, but too many people take it as gospel with nothing to back it up.
This is not directed towards you nor am I trying to be snarky, but it is a real problem that needs to be addressed. I am living it every day trying to keep my relative in Realsville.

I could not agree with your two posts more, volumbeer. I am convinced to an absolute moral certainty that this election was stolen. But in the days after November 3, any chance of doing anything about it was spoiled by the blizzard of bizarre crap. Powell and Wood did us no favors, mortally wounded our chances, and probably cost us the Georgia senate seats as well. An Rudy Guiliani deserves a big dose of the same medicine. Among his many other malpractices he said right before Christmas that everything was going to come out “all at once” after Christmas. Well? I’m waiting.

I am fine with different opinions, but surely you and I can agree that there is a lot of “hopium” that has been floated by the same sites over and over that has proven to be false or misleading.
This is well evidenced by the number of folks (like my relative) who still think the election can be reversed. Do I think there was massive fraud in the election that changed the result? Absolutely. Peter Navarro wrote the best summary of it. Do I think we can “prove” some international conspiracy going through Frankfurt, Spain, Italy, Venezuela, and China? No. Might it have happened? Sure, but we did not need it and it became a red herring.
That is the best example, but there are many other threads out there like this that have been posted quite a bit here on FR and elsewhere.
FWIW - I generally enjoy Crowder despite his shock jock shtick and he has a keen wit to make fun of idiocy on the left. I don’t know that he is the best example for what I am talking about as he is not a publisher of pieces that are linked here on FR. He is opinion - not “news”. Steve Bannon and his crew have broken some interesting stuff too. They are not always right, but more often than not and often well ahead of the curve. They too have disdain for the amount of “hopium” that is out there.
I just think there is too much clickbait here from questionable sources than hard hitting reporting from Revolver, JusttheNews, Bongino Report (links some great stuff), The Federalist, Sharyl Atkinson, etc. I don’t post many articles and that is my fault, but we do have some very legit journalist who get less attention here than the clickbait crowd.
Your opinion might be different and that is fine by me. Neither of us control the feed.

They have posted some very questionable stuff. Kudos to them for dismissing this in their article. Perhaps a better headline would have been “No, that is not the nuclear football with Trump.”
That was their conclusion.
I actually haven't noticed such with this particular site.
I agree that there's clickbait but we seem to disagree on this particular site. I saw videos on their site that weren't anywhere else, mostly of riots.
I just think that we need to be careful. And I trust the Mods judgement.....most of the time. ;-)
