President Joe Biden reversed an order by former President Donald Trump that excluded illegal aliens in the census numbers used to determine each state’s share of congressional seats and Electoral College votes.
On his first day in office, President Biden reversed a Trump order so that illegal aliens will now be required to be included in the census numbers used to decide how many lawmakers represent each state in Congress.
In December, Biden foreshadowed this move when he claimed that the U.S. Constitution “clearly requires” illegal aliens to be counted for the purpose of apportioning congressional districts in states.
But in a 6-3 decision last month, the U.S. Supreme Court threw out a legal challenge by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the state of New York against Trump’s effort to exclude illegal aliens from congressional apportionment counts.
The United States Census Bureau has already stopped tallying the number of illegal aliens living in the U.S., but now it appears that this will no longer be the case.
States that are expected to lose congressional seats when the illegal alien population is added in congressional apportioning include Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and West Virginia.
Some other areas of Trump’s legacy that Biden targeted on Wednesday involve issues surrounding immigration, the environment, and the coronavirus.
President Biden’s executive orders on Day One include the halting of border wall construction, the reversal of the Trump administration’s barring travel from seven Muslim-majority countries, as well as stopping the withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO) and making Dr. Anthony Fauci the head of the delegation to the WHO.

“he claimed that the U.S. Constitution “clearly requires” illegal aliens to be counted for the purpose of apportioning congressional districts in states.”
This is absolutely not true.
Although it does say to count “all persons”...in the VERY NEXT SENTENCE it says that should someone who was counted lose their ability to vote after the census, that the apportionment must be adjusted accordingly to reflect the lower number.
Obviously, their desire was that only citizens be allowed to vote, so anyone with any common sense at all should be able to extrapolate that the census was to count voting citizens.
The necessary common sense to figure this out is probably too high a bar at this point though...
They corrupt everything they touch.
ChiComjoe Xiden and his traitorous Demonicrats have yet again given aid and comfort to the enemy.
That would be a good designation - president joebama
You got that right......
I heard Biden woke up this AM, walked over to the Congress, and took his seat in the Senate.....he forget he was president....cackle.
Traitors should not be sued for treason. Traitors need to be tried, convicted, sentenced, and publicly hanged for treason.
Take it to SCOTUS, that will fix it.
For all those that think the above statement is correct please remember that SCOTUS is owned by the Biden crime family and in turn the CCP.

Hollow victory, IMO. 2020 census is over...
Next one is 2030., Biden won’t be alive-—
With the election fraud this time around...who knows if we will even have Electoral Votes by 2030???
Biden is a complete moron. He never read the constitution and probably was a direct quote from some other moron he saw on CNN.
For a more comprehensive explanation that the Constitution makes no such requirement to count non-citizens...
The Constitution doesn’t require census of ALL persons outside the citizenship of their respective states but meant only to enumerate FREE CITIZENS for the purpose of awarding/removing representatives to congress. The manner in which the census is collected is governed by the laws of congress which may also include non-citizens for statistical data. So no, “free persons” is inferred as “free citizen” within the meaning of Article I, Section 2, Clause 3 to meet qualifications for representation.
1787 constitutional convention debates & Federalist papers... the terms “persons”, “free persons”, “inhabitants” or “residents” was routinely interchanged in use to mean “FREE CITIZEN” for census.
Article I, Sec 2, Clause 3: “Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons... The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.”
Before slavery was abolished: Federalist Papers 54 (Feb 12, 1788) James Madison: “... for the measure representation, or of slaves combined with free citizens, as a ratio of taxation, that slaves ought to be.... excluded from representation which is regulated by a census of persons.”

Democrats soil institutions.
Your opinion may one day prevail but we’ve always counted everyone and used that count for apportionment.
Trump was trying to change that but probably would have lost in court. Biden’s just going back to the status quo.
It’s not my opinion. It’s argued exactly that way with the clear intent of the founders in both Federalist Papers and convention 1787 great compromise. The idea to count non citizens was never intended, only when slaves were argued to be counted to gain representative advantage in the south. Slaves were always considered non-citizens. Then why would the founders use such a distinction if their intent was to count everyone with a heartbeat??
As far as YOUR opinion that “we’ve always counted everyone for apportionment...” is your assumption. The census was conducted every 10 years since 1789 that took into consideration that only self identifying citizens would participate.
The census was always intended for identifying citizens, not to count a herd.
Trump was correct. He was returning the census back to its original intent.
You can say you know the original intent but that doesn't change the fact that we've always counted (or tried to) everyone, and used those counts for determining representation.
Trump proposed a major change from the way we've always done it, regardless of the framers' intent.
I'm not making a value judgment, I'm saying it's reality.
Slaves were deemed 'non-citizen.' All such other were free-citizens.
So count everyone but slaves. Including those who just wandered across the border or managed to catch a ship here.
By your own admission the framers wanted to count everyone. The fact is there was no such thing as an illegal immigrant in those days so presuming to guess how the framers would have reacted to subsequent immigration and naturalization laws is a fool's errand.
It is instructive that none of subsequent naturalization acts spoke to or attempted to modify the census criteria. Instead, every administration continued to execute the census based on the plain words of the framers.
You can rail about how everyone but you is a sheep and you're the only one who really understands the Constitution, but so far that hasn't been an effective strategy.
