According to mainstream news sources, at least two of the people arrested at the Capitol riot are left wing activists
Associated Press reported:
NYC man arrested on Capitol riot charges freed on $100K bond
January 12, 2021
NEW YORK (AP) — The son of a New York City judge who was arrested by the FBI on charges that he was among the protesters who stormed the U.S. Capitol was ordered Tuesday by a different judge to stay away from Washington.
Aaron Mostofsky, 34, was picked up at his brother’s home in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning, about a week after he was seen inside the Capitol wearing a fur costume and a police vest he is accused of stealing during the mayhem.
The charges include a felony count of theft of government property — a bulletproof police vest worth $1,905 and a riot shield valued at $265.
Records show Aaron Mostofsky is a registered Democrat.
KTVX, the ABC television affiliate in Salt Lake City, Utah, reported:
Utah activist who provided video of deadly D.C. riot to investigators arrested
January 14, 2021
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) – A Utah activist is facing charges for his alleged involvement in the deadly U.S. Capitol protest last week.
The Tooele County Sheriff’s Office tells ABC4’s Jason Nguyen that John Sullivan has been booked into their custody under a U.S. Marshall’s warrant.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Sullivan has been charged with entering a restricted building or grounds without authority; civil disorders; and violent entry or disorderly conduct.
The criminal complaint filed against Sullivan lists him as the “leader of an organization called Insurgence USA through which he organizes protests.”
He was arrested in June in connection to riots in Provo and charged with 3rd-degree felony riot and criminal mischief. In July, officials say Sullivan was charged with rioting and criminal mischief for the Provo riots.
Federal investigators say they obtained a video posted on YouTube of Sullivan allegedly seen in the crowd, telling those around him over a microphone “we got to rip Trump out of office” and “we ain’t waiting until the next election.” He was also seen wearing a ballistic vest and a gas mask.

it mattered not. POTUS had to be wrongfully impeached
for the CCP and their agents [”Enemies domestic”],
... and to make Soros and son very happy.

As has been pointed out elsewhere on FR, the guy being a Democrat doesn't mean that he wasn't a Trump supporter.
Trump had huge support in the Orthodox Jewish community in NYC and it's not a stretch to think that many of those may have been registered Democrats for reasons other than politics (social or financial, for example).

Person or persons responsible for inviting people to the gathering are ultimately liable no matter what kind of riffraff show up, legally and politically.
If Pres Trump wanted a clean rally, he should of paid probably tens of millions to vet the invitees via background checks and what not.

That’s a wierd concept. Then nobody can ever invite the public to anything, by your logic.
To: rollo tomasi
But that would apply to the Capitol Police who let the crowd in to the Capitol as well, right?
People are being charged with unlawful entry and it's not clear how they entered. (Were they recorded on camera breaking a door down?)

You should probably pay attention to the news or read a little more here of FR. President Trump did not plan the rally. It was not organized by him. He only spoke at a rally. He had nothing to do with managing it. So it was not his responsibility to have a clean rally.

So your child while you are away decides to throw a party in a public manner with public invites, things happen, and people get hurt. Parent is *legally* responsible/liable especially with alcohol involved.
A President who let his ego fly off the handle says come on down to DC on the 6th. During his speech invites people to walk to the Capitol, things happen and people get hurt/killed. President is *politically* responsible in the face of a democrat controlled HOR, antagonistic media, and eventual Senate after the 15th at least.
Yes, very logical. Now Trump supporters are paying the price for the shortsightedness. Oh and by the way, Republicans that wanted to challenge the States lost all their ammunition because of the stupidity.

I listened to the NY Judge’s son being interviewed and I saw a Prog who had memorized a few MAGA lines and was struggling to get them out. Others thought he sounded true blue MAGA. I’m still undecided.
He wouldn’t be the first kid to reject his dad’s politics.

The fox hat, the walking stick, the fur clothing and the police vest told me to disregard absolutely anything that came out of his mouth; I don't know where the guy stands on anything, and I'm not sure he does either.
I'm only pointing out that an Orthodox Jew from Brooklyn who is registered as a Democrat may very well be a staunch supporter of Trump.

Apologies..."Senate after the 15th at least."
That would be after noon on the 20 since Pence would still be the Pro tempore until then.

I take your point and it is a good one. “You can’t judge a book by its cover.”
But that book sure had a WEIRD cover.

BTW Trump should of been loud and clear on saying don't go on January 6, let those who are challenging the States do so with peace and without possible incidences as well as the stating the obvious of ANTIFA staging violence or other rabble rousers set to frame Trump supporters.
Trump's strategy was awful. As soon as covid hit he should have been all over the election on November 3 since Federal elections were occurring using any means possible through Federal agencies, members of Congress and State Legislatures in the face of absentee voting. Instead Trump thought he won in a landslide, lol.
