As has been pointed out elsewhere on FR, the guy being a Democrat doesn't mean that he wasn't a Trump supporter.
Trump had huge support in the Orthodox Jewish community in NYC and it's not a stretch to think that many of those may have been registered Democrats for reasons other than politics (social or financial, for example).

I listened to the NY Judge’s son being interviewed and I saw a Prog who had memorized a few MAGA lines and was struggling to get them out. Others thought he sounded true blue MAGA. I’m still undecided.
He wouldn’t be the first kid to reject his dad’s politics.

True, but does the media/Dems really want to push that line? Which one do you think they prefer?
- Democrat/Antifa had a couple people involved in the Capitol 'break-in'..
- Democrats support Trump (and broke in)!
