Democrats Are Drafting Legislation to Criminalize Trump Rallies — Classify Them as “Domestic Terrorism”

We are up against demons.

Democrats in both the US House and Senate are drafting legislation to classify “Make America Great Again” rallies as “domestic terrorist activity.”

They are literally criminalizing their opposition.

And they are trampling the Constitutional right to freely assemble!

DEVELOPING: Democrats in both the House and Senate are planning to draft legislation to classify MAGA rallies as “domestic terrorist activity” and require the FBI, DOJ & DHS to take steps to prevent such “domestic terrorism.” Sen. Durbin is leading effort along with Rep Schneider

These are the same Democrats that supported Black Lives Matter — the violent group that caused $2 billion in destruction this in 2020.

So one political party tries to outlaw the opposing party?

Somehow I don’t get the feeling that’s what Madison had in mind.

The entire Democratic party should be classified as a domestic terrorist organization. They merely establish less than six degrees of separation between Dim party folks and the actual domestic terrorists (sponsors of riots) that they support, and who support them with $$$ donations.

2 10-minute educational films from the 1940s:

Despotism (Encyclopedia Britannica film, circa 1946)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaWSqboZr1w
“A community is low on a ‘Respect’ scale if common courtesy is withheld from large groups of people on account of their political attitudes.”

“...in a downright despotism opposition is dangerous whether the despotism is official or whether it is unofficial...”

“A community rates low on the ‘Information’ scale when the press, radio, and other channels of communication are controlled by only a few people and when citizens have to accept what they are told.”

“See how a community trains its teachers”
“...these students are being taught to accept uncritically whatever they are told. Questions are not encouraged.”

And if books and newspapers and the radio [and facebook and youtube and...] are officially controlled the people will read and accept exactly what the few in control want them to. Government censorship is one form of control. The newspaper that breaks the government censorship rule can be suspended. It is also possible for newspapers and other lines of communication to be controlled by private interests...

Democracy (Encyclopedia Britannica film, circa 1946)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx25aMPvbJo

“The newspapers of a real democracy meet these tests...”

Newspaper checks.
1. Balance of coverage
2. Disclosure of source
3. Competence of staff

Recall that Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Rotten Clinton lied for weeks to the American public about the 9-11-2012 terrorist attack. They knew full well it was but told the public that it was a protest about an inflamatory video about Mohammed that got out of hand.

Not really. Let them pass this law. The first time anyone wants to enjoin a Trump rally from occurring, a - every - judge will throw it out as a prior restraint. EVERY justice on the Supreme Court will agree.

If someone is arrested for attending one, the arrest will be thrown out for violating the 1st Amendment.

Of course, if they outlaw MAGA rallies, Trump could simply change the name of the rally.

I won't ever vote for a republican again. We would have been in much better shape today, if we had stopped voting republican after Reagan left office. It would have led to a fight, but it would have been a more equal fight than what we're facing today because of republican betrayal.

Good luck proving you have “standing...” They’ll just say you don’t. And that’ll be the end of it!

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

PERIOD.

Without that, there is nothing. When the government fails in its obligation to guarantee and protect the natural and God -given rights of the people, we will have reached a flash point.

Wonder if it’ll develop into an underground movement with special codes and things.

“ EVERY justice on the Supreme Court will agree.”

With the threats out there to expand the number of justices and let Biden add liberals, don’t hold your breath waiting for bold decisions from the current conservative (or even center-left ) justices. They’re in survival mode and could well be reluctant to poke the congressional bear.

Not that brave - trust me. See Brandenburg v Ohio. These types of laws can swing both ways.

I'm guessing those 15,000 troops surrounding the Capitol bldg, not to mention the newly built fence, are all there to encourage us to petition.
