The crisis that has unfolded since Wednesday's wholly illegitimate storming of the U.S. Capitol has taken a very dark turn, and I am genuinely worried about what will happen next.
First, however, it is important to make it clear from the outset that I believe it was a huge mistake for the rally outside the White House to have taken place at all. Half a million people gathered in Washington. All of them were convinced that the election had been "stolen." So it was utterly irresponsible for people like Rudy Giuliani to urge on the crowd by talking about "trial by combat." The ugly spectacle of protestors stopping a joint session of Congress, in which Joe Biden's victory was being certified, will haunt our memories forever.

There’s some very standard-level insight and common sense here, but Nigel misses the mark more often than not, and exhibits not a whit of suspicion as to what a set up this whole thing has been and continues to be portrayed as-—very disappointing. This ACTUALLY COMPLETELY PEACEFUL PROTEST had its optics completely taken over by a lunatic fringe comprising not one half of one percent of the people there. THOSE people were the only ones that got attention, got filmed, and obviously got MISidentified. And virtually ALL the damage and violence had the pawprints of Antifa all over it. They SAID they would be there, so there’s no excuse for any even semi-honest journalist to absolve them of responsibility.
Check. Stay tuned for bad stuff, coming up next...
Not the link I was looking for but this highlights my point:
2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
King James Version
Antifa, blm yes. But whos the anti America thug that finances these vile groups and wants to see Americas destruction?
Hint: hes a hungarian
America’s future as a constitutional republic is very much in jeopardy. But America’s future as a fascist dictatorship under the Democrats is very much on track.
“Good. Ass-bite liberals SHOULD be worried. They themselves are wholly responsible for the riots, and they themselves opened that can of whoop-ass and it will return to get them.”
This!
Churchill said it best:
“If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.” — Winston Churchill
“Who can truly believe we’re not at war?”
Oh, we’re very much at war. It just hasn’t got “interesting” yet.
That's the whole problem, right there. We had to put up with four years of "Russia-Russia-Russia", "Ukraine-Ukraine-Ukraine" and "Impeach-Impeach-Impeach", but President Trump can't get his day in court anywhere.
I think events already are, and have been for some time, well beyond the figure of Donald Trump. Him, and the reaction of American patriots to his presidency, have just been bellwethers that drew the left and right to one focal point at the same time.
You think this is bad-—former
“Conservative” Michael Medved, one of the MOST boring, also has something in Newsweek that’s even worse....much worse.
It robs people of all sense of hope and security.
If the legal system is biased against half (or more) of the American voters, then what is our recourse?
In my opinion, our only remaining recourse involves lots of Hoppe’s No. 9, windage, elevation, extractors, forward-assists, ballistic coefficients, and other terms like those.
“ Events will move well beyond merely the figure of Donald Trump.”
Donald Trump
John Brown’s Body
“Keep repeating” is redundant (like the annoying phrase “continue on”). Stop wasting internet ink, it’s probably in limited supply on the conservative side these days. The word “repeat” would suffice.
Grammar police out, and thanks for reading. Love ya! :-)
Et tu, Nigel?
You must be one busy person on Free Republic. Just correcting the lose/loose and their/there/they’re misuse would provide full time work.
Nigel is a funny Brit.
Will Free Republic offer itself up as host to allow for free and open discussion of such an enterprise? Formation of a new political party? Who decides? I was here way back when they tried some aggressive political action against us,very early on, and it didn’t work. Things may be different now, potentially more treacherous-—otoh the tyrants about to take office are even more likely to push too hard too quickly, and start blowing it all.
