Wouldn’t Congress indicting/trying a private citizen constitute a Bill of Attainder? And doesn’t the Constitution specifically ban them?
Didnt Al Capone call for law and order on the streets of Chicago?
(A bill of attainder, or corruption of blood, has to do with punishing a person's descendants for a capital crime they did not commit. It's prohibited in the Constitution, although it was still practiced in England until the mid-19th Century.)
