Who will serve the GOP best in the future.

Looking at the whole of the last four years, how will history judge Mike Pence?

Would he a good candidate in 2024? Would he want to be?

What about Ted Cruz?

Or Josh Hawley?

Could Donald Trump come back?

No one cares. Myself and at least ten million more won’t ever vote in a national election again so it makes no difference.

In six months you won’t recognize our country under communism. This talk of future elections is delusional psycho babble.

"Even Perot couldn't pull that off in 1992"

I sincerely believe that Perot would have been president if he really wanted to. I don't know if you remember, but Perot was leading in the polls when all of a sudden he quit the race with some lame excuse that Bush was interfering in his daughter's wedding. Then when Bush started leading in the polls, he jumped back in.

I think that Perot had some weird unstated vendetta against Bush and just entered the race to siphon away enough votes so that Clinton would win. When it looked like Perot might actually win and have to serve as president he chickened out. Then jumped back in to prevent a Bush victory.

Perot was for a lot of the same things that got Trump elected: close the borders, scrap NAFTA, etc. So if he really wanted it, the presidency could have been his.

After he left, the Reform Party chose Buchanan who was good on trade and immigration, but seen by most people as too extreme on social issues. I think this is why the Tea Party also faded: it started out as an anti-immigration/good-government group but then got glommed onto by libertarians and social conservatives that muddied the message.

A Populist movement can succeed in America, but there has to be a great personality to start it off, and some reasonable succession of candidates to follow along.

Trump, then Trump Jr, then Ivanka or Pompeo, etc. could be a great sequence for continuing a Populist streak. The elites couldn't allow this to happen.

Trump got Huey-Longed.

I’ve given up on them. I know there are a few brave souls who are trying.

The GOP Establishment goons keep sucking up to the Left.

They will never get my support again. I stood in line to vote for McStain and MittMagicUnderwear, too.

And they were just about as bad as the other choice. And continually proved it, too.

I’m never voting Democrat. But I’ll never vote GOP E either. Not if I know it’s an Establishment goon.

Exactly! Build from within an existing frame work. We must win thru primaries and local elections.
It’s easy to understand the anger at the establishment but we to throw them out!

A new party isn’t worth it but getting likeminded independents to create a new voting bloc is the most powerful tool right now face it we are back to talk radio as our primary outsource of information just like it was prior to 10 years ago

You are presuming that the next election will not be rigged like this one was.

Pence has no real political legs.
I’m looking at somebody like Florida Gov. DeSantis.

Pence is a traitor - attempted coup with Rosenstein 3 years ago. The GOP is the party to rebuild from. The worst of the "GOPe" will probably be arrested for treason, we'll have to see how things play out. To create a new party is to leave America dead in the water until that happens. Trump is the GOP for the short term, then the torch must be passed (don't like dynasties either).

I'm sorry but that is the talk of a stone cold loser! We are in a fight for our lives and to me, any Vichy French types ( like you), are my enemy. Running home with your ball to mommy and hiding out in your safe place plays into the hands of our mortal enemy.

AND NO, there are not 10 million quitters (LOSERS) like you.

Sadly, I think you're right.
The establishment will never allow free elections again; all elections will be controlled by rigged electronic voting.

People will want to leave this country to get away from the calamitous policies the Dems will establish, but to where can people go? America was the last, best hope. "Was", as in "past tense" following this election.

You assume that there will ever be a fair election in this country again.

Did what? Are you looking around right now? Trump and who? What is the GOP doing at this moment?

Dead on, accurate analysis. He opened up his campaign with a BIG LIE. Claimed that while on Larry King Live when King asked him "Why don't you run?", that is what triggered him to throw his hat in, but that was LIE. He had setup his campaign 12 months earlier. His reason for dropping out ("Secret hit squad of assassins were targeting my daughters wedding...") was another bizarre, phony lie.
