Exclusive: Parler CEO Responds to Apple's Reported Threat to Kick It Off App Store

John Matze, CEO of Parler, the free speech-oriented Twitter alternative, responded Friday to the report that Apple might kick his app off its app store if it did not censor users.

“Apple is currently threatening to ban Parler — the free speech alternative to Twitter — unless the service enacts draconian censorship policies demanded by left-wing Big Tech oligarchs, according to two sources familiar with Apple’s threats,” The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis tweeted.

But Matze indicated that the Twitter alternative would not amend its policies to appease the Big Tech company.

“We plan on enforcing our [terms of service] and complying with law enforcement as we usually do,” he told CNSNews. “Apple believes they are in a political position strong enough to protect their anti-competitive interests by enforcing their censorship onto people on Parler.”

“We will and always have enforced our rules against violence and illegal activity,” Matze said in a subsequent Parler post. “But we WON’T cave to politically motivated companies and those authoritarians who hate free speech!” …

Want to have a real middle finger to Apple order their best product receive it and send it back. Or cancel your order one day later. F them big time. They are vulnerable.

When Infowars got kicked off Apple and Android, the offered the app on their website. You download it from the website instead of the store. Works fine. Banned.video.com, Parler needs to do this.
It takes no effort to go around them.

How in the world do you download an iOS app that’s NOT in the App Store?

I “think” it can be done if your phone is “jailbroken”, but the vast majority of users do not have jailbroken phones and little desire to open up to security risk of jailbreaking. That’s part of the appeal of iOS - it’s relatively secure. JailBreak your phone and all bets are off..

All that aside, I saw a Parler VP on Tucker last night and she indicated even Amazon is going after them on the hosting side. If that happens, Parler is toast - at least until they find another hosting company. IF anyone will have them..which in today’s world..who the hell knows?

Anybody, Parler has me really confused.

There is no indication that ANY particular entity is actually an official site of the person named.

The Trump page with the most followers now, doesn’t look like anything that the actual Trump administration would put together for such important messaging.

Ben Sasse has a page under his name, but again, it doesn’t look like anything a sitting senator’s office would put together. I don’t think he would have the stones to appear there officially anyway.

Parler has to set some more apparent standard, so we can know what is real or just someone trying to mislead.

There is no official Apple source for that assumption/rumor.

Has Apple denied it? They certainly ought to be at the forefront if a denial is necessary, particularly now that it’s plastered all over the liberal media.

“Amazon is going after them on the hosting side”

Amazon aint that stupid. There is a contract, unless Paler has failed to make payments, Amazon is bound by that contract, and they effn know it.

But they could make it miserable for a while, which is also a breach of contract IMO.

There is nothing either way.

I think its more to do with Robinhood and the Wall Street shorts trying to drive the AAPL price back down to around $110 from $132 to make another ‘killing’ at AAPL’s expense.
