A recent NPR report said that disinfecting surfaces using sprays and wipes might not be necessary to prevent the coronavirus.
Scientists say that if a person infected with the coronavirus sneezes, talks loudly, or coughs, droplets containing particles of the virus are airborne and can land on surfaces.
But Emanuel Goldman, a microbiologist at Rutgers University, told NPR the risk of getting infected from touching a surface with the virus is low.
“In hospitals, surfaces have been tested near COVID-19 patients, and no infectious virus can be identified,” Goldman says.
Instead, what is left over is viral RNA, otherwise known as the corpse of the coronavirus.
Back in January and February, scientists thought the coronavirus could be primarily transmitted through surface contamination.
A study from the New England Journal of Medicine at the time suggested the virus could live on surfaces for days.
Because of the results of that study, the public began to wipe down their groceries, disinfect common areas, and even wear gloves.
But now scientists are saying that people who disinfect to prevent against the coronavirus might be overdoing it....

The "because science" people refuse to admit they are sometimes wrong. I follow the scientific method , but I put my faith in God.

“Godzilla Meets Covid”?
I'll bet Clorox is thankful for that one.........
You're pretty much immune from everything, then.
P
It has never been about the virus. It has always been about control.
Bingo! These are just the start of this type of story. Once inauguration day has come and gone, the flood gates will open and Shazam! Biden saves America.
There are no words dirty enough to describe these people.
You’re so right. There are no words.
This is not surprising to me.
The head of the cleaning crew at my employer died of CV19 last year.
Heard about it from one of the women in the cleaning crew.
The liquor industry got in the game too.
Local distillers selling cheap vodka for $12 a bottle with gel and perfumes added to it so you can’t drink it.
New Year’s Even I was in 3 different grocery stores. There were no lines to enter and every single one of them was packed, all registers open. Virtually no parking places (with cars circling the lot or double parking at one of them).
Socialist distancing is over. The public is done. New year. New president. The ruse is over.
We know of cats and dogs that have caught Covid19.
So where else is it being transmitted in the animal kingdom?
Is it that hard to consider that birds may have become infected by discarded masks and gloves?
That girl on the trail may be spooked by humans without masks but what’s she gonna do about all of those naked animals all around her in “nature”?
A whale at sea world caught the flu in the late 1960s. It can happen.
>>They turned the Covid-19 into this terrible beast in order to ramp up government control.
It’s always been about government control and Bill Gates has driven this effort for years.
Fraudouche sneezed on his cuff and rubbed his runny nose another time (and wiped it on Pence’s back).
The videos are out there. That fraud doesn’t live by his own edicts.
I worry a lot more about all the future neurotic adults we are creating. It’s a great time to get your degree in psych and get licensed and a therapist. We are going to need LOTS of them based on what I’ve seen.
I had to stop at my local target a few weeks ago. When I walked in I just grabbed a basket by the door and kept walking, but was chased into the store by a employee with a bottle of spray sanitizer and some paper towels saying they were supposed to wipe down the basket for me first before I took it. I refused and they kept following me. I then asked them if they are so concerned why don’t you sanitize them after you collect them before you put a new stack out by the doors.
They said they did, but had to stand by the doors to watch you sanitize them so you would feel safe. I simply laughed and walked away, much to the chagrin in whore of the idiot door watcher.

Still, public health experts say that the best way to protect yourself against the coronavirus is to wash your hands with soap and water, avoid crowds, and wear a mask when leaving the house.
But the fact that there is absolutely no evidence that wearing a cloth mask protects you from the virus doesn't cause this "expert" any pause.
Another ‘theory’ bites the dust.
OR maybe not.
Hard telling...this will run a day or so then a ‘new’ study will come out saying there isn’t enough disinfecting going on.
I like to ‘toy’ with people by telling them that if you are going to do something, do it right.
Have someone stand at EVERY door and when one enters or leaves make the NEXT person wait while the someone wipes down the ENTIRE door, (can’t be too careful)
Station someone in every aisle and DEMAND that if you ‘touch it you bought’ or at least wipe down what they touched and be it unwrapped fruit or vegetable, throw it away.
Back when ‘they’ had to wear gloves I would suggest that to do it right one must throw away the glove whenever you touch something NEW that is going to eventually go to someone else.
On course the ‘mask police’ love to throw the ‘Well Doctors and Nurses wear them so they must be good’.
Blows their mind when you agree with them THEN tell them that Hospital types wear their masks and gloves once and into the burn bag headed for the incinerator or medical waste facility.
When this Schiff first started the grocery stores were wiping down the rubber conveyor belt after each customer. They were using some sort of sanitary spray and the natural result was that most everything the next person put on the belt got wet.
Step one would/should be that EVERYONE that says ‘I wear the mask to get along’ if you DON’T believe in them don’t wear it. At least be true to yourself. If you don’t mind wearing them, fine but at least admit it just don’t ‘worry’ about me.
Have been hearing ‘rumblings’ about how the grocery clerks, fast food etc etc and ALL the suddenly ‘essential workers’ should be getting hazardous duty pay, especially now that the unemployed are getting ‘bonuses’ for not working.
If that movement catches on the ‘fun’ will really begin.
Don't drink coffee. Drink coffee. Don't drink coffee.
Wear masks. Don't wear masks. Wear masks.
Virus does not survive on surfaces. Virus survives on surfaces. Virus does not survive on surfaces.
Don't disinfect surfaces. Disinfect surfaces. Don't disinfect surfaces.
I don't trust medical experts anymore. I don't trust the news anymore. I don't trust the government anymore. I don't trust our institutions anymore.
I only trust one thing nowadays. I trust President Trump. And that's it. The rest is all spin, fake news, corrupt messaging, agenda driven drivel and outright lies.
We need to get back to doing what we have always done in this country to survive.
Think and decide for yourself. Freedom to choose is a good thing.
