Why is everyone losing their sh1t over covid when iatrogenic deaths kills far more people every year?
I mean with the hyped numbers, we have health people admitting that no matter what people die of, if they test positive for covid, its automatically regarded as a covid death, so car crashes, falls, accidents, heart attacks, gunshots, all will be marked as a covid death if they test positive for covid.
So the covid death numbers are so totally wrong to begin with.
Consider society doesnt go apes1t, or are drivn crazy hysterical be the mediass, about iatrogenic deaths, which conservatively are about 225,000-250,000 a year.
These are deaths by medical mistakes and errors.
Dying by medical mistakes and errors is a far, far bigger hreat to your health than covid-19
But no mediass hype, no medical hype, no government hype, about the real death figures of a quarter milioj folks a year due to doctor and nurse and pharmacist errors and mistakes.
If people are going to be freaked out by something, perhaps they should freak out about something that is really deserving to be freaked out about. No one is hyperinflating these death numbers, in fact everyone who calulates these takes a conservative approach to doing so.
Google it and find all the articles discusing what the figure is, how they break it down and come to a total. Heres a starting one.

I do know that pharmacists have wound up saving people from doctors who prescribe something that will wind up killing the patient if they take the new prescription with whatever else they are currently taking....
But imagine the ones they havent always caught. They cant catch everything.
And add in the statistical anomalies that aren’t even known.

Maybe, if somehow we could link this aborted babies. That would shut them up. Covid would be magically gone!

Real science doesn’t require emotion, name calling, or the greater percentage of people to accept it.
It’s ironic that you are complaining about (for example):
An an 88 year old patient, with end stage heart disease, and end stage lung disease, and dementia, who gets COVID and dies, gets called a COVID death when he has another heart attack after getting the COVID. (Even when a healthy person would have lived.)
And yet that is exactly what you are saying about medical mistakes:
A drug is given to that same 88 year old patient and if the patient gets a significant side effect and dies, then it may well get called a death from a medical mistake! (Even when a healthy person would have lived.)
It’s the same distortion in both cases. That many people do NOT die from medical mistakes, even though that many people might die WITH medical care which included mistakes. The true number is lower. (And “mistakes” is a lot more subjective than deciding if a COVID test is positive.)
It’s quite a thing to bring those both up as counterpoints when the same distortions are present in both thouse “statistics.”
Medical mistakes are bad. COVID is bad.
But we should not distort either bad condition by mis-diagnosing what actually occurred.

Every single medical mistake and error, is a Medical mistake or error, bemit surgical, drug, something forgotten, whatever.
Every single thing is attributable to a medical person making a mistake that is directly the reason for the death.
Someone dying of a car crash or gunshot wound or something not covid related, and whoever decides to check their blood after death for covid, and if they have it, classifies it as a covid death, is absurd.
Every iatrogenic death is a human error that is directly related to causing that death. Not so the way they are classifying covid deaths. Get electrocuted, and if you have covid, its a covid death. No.
There is no hype to increase the number of iatrogenic deaths. The very reason they try to call everything and anything a covid death is to artificially inflate the covid death njmbers to keep the fearsteria high.

There was a dipstick new member on Free Republic who was accusing conservatives of killing our fellow Americans by our refusal to kowtow to the statists, said he didn't think businesses were being bankrupted (and that closing them was not an unconstitutional infringement on those business owners) and that the government could jump in and bail them out.
He was 100% on board with closing businesses, mandating mask wearing and social distancing.

Ahhh. A shill for plaintiffs bar. You of course do not realize that the texts To Err is human and bridging the quality chasm are now the way most hospitals are run. A s you repeat plaintiffs statements of medical errors etc. we have learned lessons from the airline industry as HROs are better and better each day
But please if you get sick. I beg you on behalf of all of us physicians who work tireless hours even on holidays and get abused by idiots like you...seek medical attention elsewhere.

But in any event happy new year. I am done teaching for the night and after a long day if committing medical errors and mistakes I will spend a few moments with my family and then go back and take care of the I’ll tomorrow on a holiday when you no doubt will enjoy a day off for more arm chair expertise.
