Olivia Troye, a former aide to Vice President Mike Pence, claims she is “very concerned” about violence taking place on January 6th.
Troye, who made the assertion during an appearance on MSNBC’s Deadline, added any violence that might ensue would take place because President Trump is encouraging it.
“I’m actually very concerned that there will be violence on January 6th because the president himself is encouraging it,” she fretted.
“This is what he does,” Troye continued. “He tweets, he incites is, and he gets followers and supporters to behave in this manner, and they believe they are being patriots because they’re supporting the president.”

“This is a president who calls himself the president of law and order, and we have seen anything but that,” Troye continued. “We have a bombing on Christmas day. We’ve had protests in the streets.”
“This is all out of control,” she continued. “The divisiveness is through the ceiling because of this man who continues to stoke the flames of these far-right people who show up and think that he’s calling out to them.”
There is a whole cache of weapons-grade stupidity in Troye’s comments.

It is my belief that a good part of the steal’s success is directly related to the idea that not enough people are worried about Trump supporters’ potential for violence.
And I suggest everyone planning to attend bring a stun gun, mace and a pocket pistol in case your life is threatened!

After graduating from college, Troye worked for the Republican National Committee. She began a career in national security after the September 11 attacks. She served in the Pentagon as a George W. Bush Administration appointee. Troye was an intelligence official in the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis serving as chief of strategy, policy, and plans. Troye worked in the Office of the Vice President of the United States as the homeland security and counterterrorism advisor to Vice President Pence and served as an aide to the White House Coronavirus Task Force.[1][2][3]
While Troye says she resigned, Mike Pence’s national security adviser, Keith Kellogg, claims he fired her and “escorted her off the compound.” He has also more generally accused her of lying about her time in the Trump-Pence administration. Troye has denied the allegations.[4]
According to CNN, Troye is a lifelong Republican.[5] Troye self-identifies as a “John McCain Republican” and endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.[1][5]

In my opinion the main reason the steal was successful is because the Democrats have zero fear or respect for Republicans and know that the GOP will never, under any circumstance, fight to stop something.
The GOP is perma-weak and weakness invites aggression. Always has, always will.
You simply can’t win by playing defense all the time. We need a new party that is not afraid to fight for what it believes in.
