White House Coronavirus Task coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx admitted Sunday that she broke her own COVID-related travel guidance on Thanksgiving, gathering with three generations of family from two households. She was not “celebrating,” however, Birx assured the public in a statement, but “winterizing” one of her homes.
Birx elaborated Tuesday during an interview with Newsy on the toll pandemic precautions, like the ones she doles out to Americans, have affected her family. The task force leader said her parents had become depressed and “stopped eating” over the isolation — isolation Birx has recommended time and time again.
“My parents stopped eating and drinking because they were so depressed,” the 64-year-old said during the interview.
“My daughter hasn’t left that house in 10 months, my parents have been isolated for 10 months. They’ve become deeply depressed,” Birx added, noting of the need to “recover from the trauma of the last 10 months.”...

Well, now she knows how the rest of us schmucks feel after nine months of draconian, totalitarian lockdowns.
It’s certainly not. I’m drinking more beer than usual while waiting for the St. John’s wort to take effect, due to the angst caused by this miserable regime.
Don’t worry, though, as I increase the St. John’s wort dosage to the recommended amount, I will phase out the beer. I do not want to become an alcoholic because of this crap. Our supposed betters would undoubtedly gloat over such a situation.
Horse hockey. A LOT of people are depressed, isolated, frightened, and even contemplating suicide because, in their minds, what is there to life for? Scarf Lady is a hypocrite and deserves no sympathy. Her parents are worth no more than OUR parents. And our children. And our friends. And our jobs. And our livelihoods.

I’m in a lock down California county. Spent last week in Washington house hunting. Spent this week delivering Christmas presents to neighbors and coworkers in three lockdown counties.
Christmas Day our whole family is visiting my 80+ year old parents, and day after lots of family coming to celebrate my Dad’s birthday.
We’re careful about nutrition, where we spend our time, wash our hands, take reasonable precautions. But we don’t give two craps what Governor Newsom says. Especially after that French Laundry bullsh*t.
That horrible creature!! We won’t get to spend Christmas with our 2 grandkids for the 1st time since they were born 🥲
And, yes, we’re very depressed & isolated. Some of my family hangs on every word these bastards spew! They don’t want to take the chance of us getting sick!! 😖

What good reason? There are lots of people in the very same circumstance.
As for her daughter not leaving the house for 10 months, why? Is she an idiot or just another cheesecake scared of her own shadow. Does she have some high risk category of disease?
