Assuming the Secretary of Defense has direct control over Special Forces, the next question is the loyalty of the Marine Corps. If they side with the President, then it is feasible to assert military control with the help of red state National Guard units. The next question is how will the Army fall? Will units support the Democrats or will they stand down? The Pentagon will need to be purged of high level Obama supporters like General Milley. Then what about blue state National Guard units? We know that governors like Cuomo and Newsom will order them to support the Democrats.

Special Forces units must quickly seize Olympia, Sacramento, Salem, Trenton, and Albany and imprison those governors and National Guard commanders. The three West Coast states are critical, to prevent Chinese and/or UN intervention on the Democrats' side. So is the Port of New York. Assuming the Navy is loyal, foreign enemies will be unable to use Norfolk and Baltimore, given the large naval presence around Hampton Roads.

Military action, if taken, must be swift and decisive. No half measures.
